Last Time to Breathe

These lungs are buring with desire,

longing to pull in some air to breathe with,

but to no avail,

there is no air to live,

the world has taken it away,

replaced it with suffocating pain,

endless tears fall from these swollen eyes,

there are none who offer any compassion,

no sympathy here to speak of,

all alone with the nothing closing in,

searing pain races across these lungs,

desperatly struggling to breathe,

searching for help,

for relief,

but the world is desolate and void of life,

only demons that point and laugh,

at the struggle of this broken girl,

grasping at empty breath,

fighting against all the doubts,

only to be knocked down again,

but is the last chance,

what will become of this fragmented girl?
