1st care package out

 

Today was actually a pretty good day. Pay day! So that’s always a good start. I had about a million errands to run. I went to U-Haul to buy a box, went to the mall to pick up our pictures, went to Target to pick up the things hubby wanted in his care package, then home to pack the care package and put Nicholai down for a nap, then back out to the post office to mail the care package.

Ugh… care package slips are a HUGE hassel. You have to write down everything that’s in the stupid box and they only give you 4 lines so if you have more then 4 things in a box you have to fill out another form. Well I had to fill out 3 damn forms to ship this box lol. And it was super heavy, about 40lbs. I was so worried about how I was going to lug the box and the stroller into the post office but thankfully some woman saw me pushing the stroller and leaving the box and she asked if I needed a hand. She even showed me what form I needed for a care package. Boy was I grateful because it was 110 degrees and I was sweating to death trying to figure out how to get into the post office lol.

Blah… the only reason I’m even writing is because I’m hoping that the internet works again. Chris couldn’t sleep and we were going to talk for a little bit after I got Nicholai down. And wouldn’t you know, I get him to sleep and Skype Chris, I see him on webcam for about 2 seconds and his internet cuts out. Fantastic!

I’m about to give up and go to bed though cause it’s almost 11:30 and I need sleep. Not sure what I’m going to do tomorrow besides order the rest of Nicholai’s stuff for his party….. maybe go pay rent depending on the weather.

Friday marks 2 weeks down in this deployment. Still seems like time is dragging but maybe it’s just because I miss Chris so damn much because the week seemed to go by pretty fast. 19 more days til I leave for Jersey. It’s weird to think that once I get back from Jersey it will be September. I just gotta get through September and October and then I will feel so much better because those months are just me and Nicholai… no trips planned… nothing big to do and I have a feeling that those 2 months are just going to drag on.

I have the professional pictures and I was going to post them but I’m too damn tired from running all these errands today in the heat.

I am kinda excited about sending another care package though. I really hope this one makes it ok seeing as how our 360 is in it and I want it to get there ok.

Damn 11:30 and still no hubby. Shit internet! Off to bed for me then.
