camping, hiking…

she likes outdoors like you.

she’s turning 9 this year

and smarter everyday

she’s just like her father

with her face

and her ways

Her little sister follows after

quiet just like you

kind, caring, considerate

insightful just like you

it seems to me

she’s got the best

of everything

there was inside of you

and now like a star

she shines through all

the dark night skies

seeing hard times through

with that radiant smile

her eyes are yours

and her manerrisms too

she’s so soft spoken

while her sister boils up a stew!

a perfect dispersion

of all your best qualities

courage, inteligence, love and spontaneity

and sometimes through them

i see you alive again

you’re breathing the air

and we can fly again!

it means so much to me

that their faces make me cry

as i wish for our time together

to never end and our bond to never die

I know you had to go

but i feel it’s my duty to say

You have 2 very amazing daughters

who carry your memory

and the blessings they bestow

on everyone they know.

Who are alive like the sun

and keep you in their hearts

with every step they take

and Everywhere they go.

You would have been 27

this year tomarrow

my heart is heavy

sorrow dwells

in places hollow

i will promise you this

i will smile for her

tell her how you wish that you were here

how you watch over her everyday

and see her grow taller every year

…o i could go on DJ.

and you know I could.

with every stream, every tent, every piece of drift wood

you are here still with us

and not very far at all.
