Nice Saturday

I am posting some entries that I wrote a few days ago on another site but wanted to add them here because I want to start keeping an online diary for me so I have some memories of my life with kids.

I had such a great day today. When I woke up this morning I laid on the couch and watched one of my shows on the PVR and then got my kids ready for the day. Normally, I would then go get myself ready by having a shower, blowdrying my hair, etc. I can be time consuming. But today I told myself I am just going to first have some coffee and read a bit before and that is what I did. It was a nice change. It really helped change the direction of my day mood wise (food for thought later). Normally when I rush through my morning, I can get a bit cranky. Today, however, was AWESOME. Anyways, after that my hubby the kids and I played outside for a bit. It was such a nice fall day. It had rained earlier in the morning so there was that fresh smell of rain. It was so nice. My 2.5 year old son was busy as usually and kept runnin up to me saying “baby potter” for “Harry Potter” because that’s his new favorite movie to watch. I know, usually you wouldn’t think a 2.5 year old would be watching Harry Potter but my daughter has watched it and he seemed to like it as well. His other favorite movies are “owww” or “Raaahhh” (Monster’s Inc) or “mmeepp meeeppp” (Cars) and occasionally he likes “nemo”. He’s so cute. When I come into the bedroom while he is watching a movie, he will pat the seat beside him and say sit. I have the cuddliest son ever and I love him to death, even if he does run my crazy during the day. My daughter is the talker in the house. She can talk, and talk and talk and talk …… She loves to continuously sing through her day and talk aloud about anything and everything. Very cute to watch, however, after a long trying day, it can be a bit irritating. But, after all, isn’t that what families are all about. There’s up and downs, good times and bad times. Today was a great day and for that I am thankful.
