Aah Memories and Sadness

This weekend we travelled to the old home town for a hockey game.  The girls are having a good season, winning a few and losing more, but getting stronger each game.  MR M and I are very proud of them.

While in ND out at the cousin’s I received a phone call.  It was from a girl I had gone to college with breifly in 1981.  She was in town for a relatives wedding reception and had heard that I too was in town.  Mr M and I met up with her and as it turns out her relative is a cousin to Mr M’s cousins and all of his cousins were at the party too!  We had a great time catching up and visiting about people I had forgotten I knew. 

Mr M had fun with his relatives and we stayed out way past our bedtimes.  We then had to get up early and travel back to MT so the girls could play another game at home on Sunday.  DJ played like I have never seen her play before.  She is on a mission and I am not sure what it is.

Then there is sad news.  Our kitty cat Jack died this morning (or last night).  Found him curled in a box in his little room.  Looks like he just went to sleep.  DJ was a wreck before school.  I hope she got her emotions under control and will try to learn something today.  Jack was good cat.  He adopted us after old neighbors moved out several years ago.  They were moving to the city and didn’t want to take him (didn’t really want to leave him either).  The people who bought their house said they would keep him, but he didn’t much care for them, so moved into our place.   He was a big yellow cat, and we will miss him, a lot!
