cause and effect

Dear Diary:

Contrary to popular steel town myth the Spectator is not omniscient.

Soft-spoken and obsessive, Adrian never looked the part of a hopeless romantic. But, in these salad days, he’s revealed an unknown side of his psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie-like pursuit of his long reputed soul mate, a woman whom he only spent just realized is the female sleeping beside him each night after he brushes his teeth.

Sadly, the protracted search ended late Saturday night in complete and utter success. Yet even in certain victory, the courageous Adrian secretly clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan.  Adrian is  a changed man in these salad days. Things were clearer for him.

“the best often die by their own hand
just to get away…”

Ultimately Adrian concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum", what we currently refer to as destiny.

When I was a little girl, my mum used to lock me in the basement when I was bad, which was pretty often. And  I would pretend I was an opus child… trapped in a dungeon by a wicked queen. And then suddenly this roguish man would appear out of nowhere like a deleted scene from Frank Miller’s “The Spirit”. He’d steal me away in a swift and discreet manner and the wicked queen would ever be the wiser.

“and those left behind
can never quite understand
why anybody….”

I fucking chickened out when I acted casual, like Mr. Casual. I should have said it. You… belong… with… me!  We belong together. And what really pisses me off is that, now that we’re really talking/harmonious, he thought I wasn’t always as scared as he is.  . What’s that about! I mean… hey, this is not a boys club! And you know maybe if I had said “we …. Belong…. Together” in the Wellness Center it wouldn’t have made a difference.

I‘ve never thought that  we made a big mistake because, we had good times and we had bad times, but we had times. And I would like to start living outside of the closet. I would like to be new. I want to be new . I want to be Miss. New to live life in harmony with the universe.  I do.

“would ever want to
get away
from
them.”
