What’s Your Favorite Book?

I want to read more and expand my reading horizons in the process. In the past, I’ve stuck mostly to fantasy/sci-fi and action-thrillers. Writer’s like Robert Jordan, Dennis L. McKeirnan, Stephen King, Clive Cussler and Nelson DeMille make up the bulk of my book collection. I also have a few classics in there like Treasure Island, Lord of the Flies and Huckleberry Finn.

So I’m asking the good people of OD to suggest some good reads. Your favorites, books that you’ve heard about or something suggested to you by someone else. Thank you.

If you like history/fiction books The Davinci Code is a good one, and 1776 is a good one. and….I’m a boring book reader.

I’m currently reading the Anne of Green Gables series and LOVING it. But I think that’s more a girl thing… You should try I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb, or anything by Dan Brown. 🙂

Two awesome reads: Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs It’s Been a Good Life by Isaac Asimov (a biogrophy of his life..not sci-fi)
