For My Wife

I know that I’m not always as romantic as you would like me to be. I have troubles trying to make my mouth say the words my brain is thinking. I can’t find the way to express myself when I’m so overwhelmed with feelings.

I wanted to say that I love you. I have since the day we met and I will as long as I draw breath. I love you with all of my heart and more. When we’re apart and I think about you, my heart hurts because we’re not together. When I’m with you, I’m overflowing with emotions and can’t hardly say what I’m feeling.

I want to be the man you want me to be. I want to do what you need for me to do. All I can think about is making you happy.

I know that lately, I’ve been grumpy. It’s not you that makes me that way. It’s the fact that I have to spend so much time without you. If I could take you to work with me, I would. I’d carry out around with me in my pocket.

Since I have trouble saying how I feel, I thought that I’d write it out for you. I hope that I did it well enough.
