well crap, where has the time gone?!

i leave for spokane tomorrow.

totally didn’t get those pictures up for you.  🙁  maybe tomorrow after i get settled in my digs, i’ll sit down and write out that entry… that and i need to find the pictures.  i’m not sure i downloaded them from my lady.

<.<
>.>

i’ll rectify that tomorrow.

as for now, i said all week, over and over again that i was going to pack slowly throughout the week so i wouldn’t have to do it last minute, and what do i do?  wait till last minute.  i should be packing right now, but i’m not.  lol

i really don’t have all that much to say.  i hung out with some of my greatest friends today from college.  i never see them, and half of them live less than 20 miles away.  Aaron at least has the excuse that he’s in Virginia.  Sean, Sarah and Meagan all live close and i miss hanging out with him.  i can’t wait for my lady to get to spend time with them.  i think she’ll enjoy hanging out with my goofball friends… i hope.

yesterday (well, technically 2 days ago now seeing as its 12:26) was my last day at home depot.  i had a quick text conversation with my immediate boss after she got to work this morning.

her – WHAT?!  did you quit, or get your LOA [leave of absence]
me – um… no they made me quit.
her – WHAT?!?!?!?!?!
her – what the hell?!  seriously, you were one of my best workers!
her – if you need a job in march, come back and i’ll make sure it happens.  i need cashiers like you!
me – okay

i didn’t have the heart to tell her that i did feel i could be at a company that treated me like that.  to make matters worse, i was shown an internal memo…  home depot has stopped sponsoring Olympians.  they say it costs to much money to let them go train and come back.  i’m pretty sure this has something to do with me not being able to get the leave i requested.  i’m not as mad at my bosses as i was before.

either way i’m going to try and get a job at Microsoft until the Master’s program starts at UW and pay down some bills. 🙂  now that i have a degree getting a job there shouldn’t be too hard.   i’d make a great secretary!

anyway, gotta pack and get to sleep.  long day tomorrow.  5 hour drive, then 4 hour rehearsal. *sigh*

Re: Yeah, that’s not my style. I’m a big pussy. But that’s exactly what I want my father to do on my behalf. lol

I was in Spokane this summer!! What are the odds! Anyway, best of luck to you and be safe and have the confidence to know that no matter what happens with your rehearsals that you’re going to rock it. You seem amazingly talented and all you need to do is keep your head high!!

Hope all goes well. 🙂

have a safe trip!

I am glad they learned that you are worth keeping. A shame on them to cancel support of the arts and Olympians. MIss ya round my diary lately and sometimes I thought of calling up and chatting with you. Not sure if that’s ok.

Goog luck! Be well. Sing good. Think positive thoughts. and keep your meds filled. Or else. I’ll be tough. See? GRRRRRR. Tough.

May your packing be swift and your drive be unharried. 🙂

Good luck with trying to get a new job. And a singing competition sounds like fun! Is that what you need the leave of absence for?
