N.25 Brenden Foster

KomoTV news story on Brenden Foster

this story is what gives me hope that there is still good left in this world.

the article isn’t long, give it a quick read.

and because i know some of you won’t, here’s a quick synopsis.  Brenden Foster is an 11y/o boy from Seattle who was diagnosed with lukemia when he was 8.  he’s spent the last couple years fighting it valliantly, but to no avail.  so, facing his imminant death, what did wish for?

to help feed homeless people.  so, groups of people got together and organized a food drive, and passed out over 200 sandwiches to the homeless here in Seattle.  but that wasn’t it… soon people all over the country, hearing of Brenden’s wish, started to do the same, all in his name.

all of this happened within the last two weeks.

i remember reading about Brenden about 2 months ago in the paper.  even then i thought he was an amazing boy.

well, he passed away on Friday morning.  and i’ve been sitting here crying for the last 10 minutes.  later today i’m going to go drop off 10 cans of soup i have at the local community center in his name.

maybe if more people see this they will do the same, and pass it on.  its time for a change, and not just from the president.

People like that are amazing. When I needed new tires for my car, I bought them from a man who set up a food pantry in Haughville, which is one of the poorest sections of Indy. Every tire he sells goes to stocking his ministry. It’s so wonderful. ~

Couldn’t agree with you more. This should take place everywhere and become a big deal… even more so than it is now.

that is the sweetest thing I have heard in a while and what upsets me is that a 10 year old can have such a huge heart but those who are expected to know what’s right, refuse to do something as remarkable as this child. What a wonderful addition to heaven they now have.
