my new theme to my life

i think the lyrics (and this song in general) really applies to my life.  *smiles*

I Don’t Worry About a Thing  (as sung by Mose Allison)

If this life is drivin’
you to drink
you sittin’ round wonderin’
what to think

well I got some kind of consolation
I’ll give it to you if I might.

You know I don’t worry ’bout a thing
cause I know nothing’s gonna be alright.

You know this world is just ‘a one big
trouble spot
cause some have plenty and
some have not

I used to be troubled,
but I finally saw the light.

Now I don’t worry ’bout a thing
cause I know nothing’s gonna be alright.

Don’t waste your time tryin’ to be
a go getter
things’ll get worse before they
get any better

You know there’s always somebody
playin’ with dynamite.

But I don’t worry ’bout a thing
cause I know nothing’s gonna be alright.

what a great song. 🙂  hope the day finds you well

You know, that’s just beautiful. At first it seems sad, but when I read it through again I realized how not-sad it really is; she’s just being honest, telling you to be yourself. Well, as with everything, several interpretations are possible, but I like this one. Very beautiful lyrics; not surprised that I found them in my Noah’s diary. Come back and write some more for me. Many hugs 🙂 – Nicki
