excitement perhaps?!

hee hee… new entry… why?  no reason.

so i have a recording session this week.  its going to be for an audition CD.  when i get it i’ll post a few on soundclick.com for you if you’d like to hear them.

i’m exciting for one reason.  i’ve never heard myself actually do opera arias before (granted i might listen to the cd ONCE in my entire life… but thats okay).  so i’m interested to hear how it sounds.  especially since these arias are some of the more gorgeous things i’ve ever heard.  here’s a list of what i want to record.

1. "Del Destino" from Florenzia en al Amazonas by Daniel Catàn
2. "De miei bollenti spiriti" from La Traviata by Verdi
3. "Recondita Armonia" from Tosca by Puccini
4. "Dies bildnis ist bezaubernd schön" from Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) by Mozart
5. "Just as a Rosebud Blossoms" from The Merry Widow by Lehar
6. "La fleur que tu m’avais jetée" from Carmen by Bizet.

this is quite the formidable list.  even now, looking at it i kind of pall at what i have to do on wednesday… *sigh*

i guess we’ll see.
