Rewind

Last Thursday I read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets straight through.  Last night I started on the third book.  I’m a bit hooked on them now.  But Friday, yesterday, and some of today I did get a lot of homework done too.

I think we’re about finished with our film now.  We call it Rewind because it’s about a guy who makes life choices, first making the bad choice, then time rewinds and he makes the better choice.  It’s a piece about how mundane choices influence your entire future.  The only changes we might possibly make relate to the soundtrack for it.  There’s no dialogue in the movie, and currently we have songs playing in the background that somewhat fit each part of the movie.  We may replace it with a single song, like some classical music peice.  The film is almost seven minutes long.  We should at least get some good points for the video editing.  I must say I got pretty decent with figuring out how to use Final Cut Pro and we have some neat, yet purposeful video effects.

I’m finishing up my graduate school applications.  I have no idea what I’ll do if I don’t get in to one of them.  And I’ll be disappointed if I don’t get into one of the ones in California, but I guess I’ll just have to deal with that when the time comes.  I’ve got a great academic record, so I should get into at least one of the schools I’m applying to.  I’m getting more and more excited about working in the field that I’m trying for.  I was excited about clinical psychology, but now I’m almost giddy about doing research in clinical health psychology and teaching.

Well, not too much more is going on.  I’m going to work on my personal statement a little more and start separating it out into a statement for each school.  Then I’ll do more reading Harry Potter maybe.
