i might as well… ten random things

Uh oh.

Someone (liquid diamonds) decided to break my tagged virginity (liquid diamonds). So we’ll see how this goes. If not, at least you know who to blame (liquid diamonds).

Ten Random Things Involving Me That I’m Choosing to Write About Here

1. I am right hand dominant in most things (yeah, big deal). There are some things though, that feel more natural left handed to me. I’ll shoot pool left handed. I’d open some doors left handed. Sometimes I grab things left handed. The first time I wanted to strum a guitar, I wanted to do it left handed – it felt more natural to me. So of course, I couldn’t find a left handed guitar and all the guitar notation I found was for right handed people. Now it feels more natural to strum with my right hand. I blame my brothers for not being left handed. It doesn’t matter which way I play though. I still suck.

2. I’ve had the same waistline since senior year in high school. So far.

3. My most memorable celebrity run-in, in a situation or place where there was not expected to be a celebrity run-in, was with Robin Williams. Hmm… I’ll save that story for another time.

4. I’ve never gotten a ticket or been in an accident (so far). The closest I’ve been – I was doing 40 in a 30 zone. I guess the local cops were bored. Anyway, I was let off with a warning. (Yes, I am aware I am boring.)

5. I’ve had mass with the pope. Twice. (Not on the same day though).

6. I am allergic to candy corn for some odd reason. I fake that I’m allergic to fish heads (who wouldn’t?).

7. I prefer wearing sweats and a T than anything. Jeans over pants when going out. Shorts over jeans when it’s warm enough. So I guess by logic, sweat shorts would be the ultimate. I am actually a conservative dresser – work has pretty much made me appreciate the pants and button down shirt combo. I dislike wearing ties, however I used to wear them all the time.

8. I’ve been to catholic school pretty much my whole educational career. That’s like 18 years worth, including kindergarten, but not nursery school. For those doing the math, my college degree required 5 years – no I wasn’t left behind or something. Hmm… this tidbit probably explains a lot, huh?

9. The first real job I ever had (in which I had to give my social security number and all that jazz) was with the college school newspaper. They had me help with layouts using Quark on the Mac. However, I couldn’t continue when the schoolwork suddenly became insanely time consuming. So I never bothered to show up again. Months later, when I was at home for Christmas break, I received my first paycheck – I had totally forgotten to pick it up. According to the stub, I had spent a grand total of two hours on the job. I think the total ended up being something around 8 bucks after all the taxes and whatever.

10. I can fly. But only when no one is looking.

11. The last one was a joke. So you get a “bonus” fact. (Somewhere out there, the dials on the volume do go to “11”.) I enjoy animation a lot, especially the hand drawn stuff. The cgi stuff is fun, but I still prefer the “human-ness” of cel animation. And for the record, aside from all the classic cartoons (Bugs Bunny, etc.), my fave animation show is Animaniacs. Naturally I was thrilled when they finally started coming out on dvd.

Hmm… so I guess the way this works is I have to tag someone else, eh?
