Empty Vessels
He woke up from her dream
Images dying in his head
Alone on a bare sheet
Put something inside me, he said
Ill show you my hands
Ill bare you my skin
Where did it go
Where did the poison go
The faint mist
Still lingers in the air
Empty jars
Empty strangers
Its draining, its draining
Catch it before its gone
He told me of her dream
He crawled through the hole (and never looked back)
Ive seen himself split
In darkened places
Silent epitaphs
Reflected on their faces
What, where is that life?
I can only run so far
Ahead is the forest
Beyond I see the mountain, covering the sea
Empty hands
Empty containers
Its draining, its draining
Catch me before Im gone
Theres a fracture at the bottom
And I
I could never satisfy
