This morning I heard about those students who were killed in New Jersey. It stunned and saddened me. I guess as I get older, the more I hear about younger people losing their lives, especially in some violent manner, the more it affects me.
I think about how their lives were cut short and the potential things that were waiting for them. In a way, sometimes I feel guilty, I cant explain it well I guess. It makes me feel grateful and more appreciative of the things I have done, experienced, and the places Ive visited and makes me wish they had the chance to have experiences and things like that.
I feel there is just so many beautiful things in the world, despite what is constantly on the news. There are plenty of good things to see and experience out there. I think there is a real tragedy in taking that away from someone. By no means am I done I still look forward to the many zillions of things that are worth experiencing and doing out there. And I mourn the chance for someone else to live them.
I hate watching the news…why wake up and start your day with rapes, fires, murders, and then end it that way. The world is a sad place and it does make you grateful for what you have…I am not sure I have heard about NJ yet….
