slimfast didnt work for me

I gave up on the slimfast plan… erm 12 hours into it?? I had the shake for breakfast, a bottle of water, then the meal bar for ‘lunch’. And hour later I was mad starving. I tried to eat the bag of pretzels hoping that would ‘fill me up’ some but I was still starving. So I went and bought a veggie wrap, some spring rolls, and flavored water (boots lunch deal) Ameena ate the spring rolls and I had the veggie wrap and water.

So I guess I’m gonna try portion control (not that it EVER works) and counting calories. I really hesitate to count calories because once I get stuck thinking about food then food stays on my mind all day long. And also I feel once I ‘blow’ it for the day I can go out and eat what ever I want. And hubby has been trying to be sweet and will pick me up a chocolate bar on the way home from work.

so lets see… so far today I’ve had

slimfast shake for breakfast – 200 calories

Yoghurt pouch – 100 calories approx

chilli wrap (chilli, cheese, tortilla wrap and g sauce) approx 350 to 400 calories

tuna and crackers – 150 calories

jaffa cakes and a glass of milk 200 calories

a few hard sweets – 50 calories

thats what 1100 calories.

I guess that gives me 400 to 500 calories for dinner… which is duable. I’ve got a carrot and rice soup made up in the fridge that is 225 ish calories, so that means I can have an egg with it as well as a salad or something like that. yep that should be good. 😀

or even pasta with spinach and cheese. that sounds good too.

erg see what I mean… I start thinking of food and thats all I CAN think about.

I’ve found that I have to have a meal every few hours. It doesnt help that Ameena isn’t feeling well and wants to feed EVERY few hours, so me eating seems to go hand in hand with that.

I’ve been OKISH about water. I’ll get in 1.5 liters instead of the full 2. lol I only have a 1.5 l bottle so its easy to keep that handy and I TRY to drink at least one of them a day.

I forced hubby to go out with me and buy loads of food. I have a fridge full of veggies, carrots, spinach, beetroot salad, celery, pepper stir fry, olives. Loads of ‘good for you’ kind of things. Hopefully if I focus on the good stuff and make sure I eat that I’ll start losing weight just simply by cuting out the bad stuff.

ugh yeah- i tried slimfast and never lost weight then i realized how much sugar and all that crap is in it! Your best bet is portion control and healthier foods. Goodluck! 😉

i hated slim fast too although I love their chocolate snack bars. which reminds me I want some to cut this craving Im having.
