The best pillow
Lesson: Use your resources wisely.
Last night I curled up like a little baby and fell right asleep on Mark’s chest. It was such a great nights sleep. I didn’t watch but a minute of Monday night football before I was out. He’s my favorite pillow. I love him! But not just for that haha.
For having a crappy day, I actually had a pretty good evening. The work day was long and terrible and boring. Just dreadful. This afternoon though i did a lot of research on my grad school program. I’m getting closer and closer to actually deciding that it’s for me. I am now 90 some percent sure I want to/am going to do it. I’m just nervous. I talked to the director of the education department at the hospital today and she gave me a lot of good advice and feedback. She’s so nice. Then I asked my old, favorite journalism teacher for a letter of recommendation into the program and I went by his office after work. He had it ready for me and it was actually good to see him. We worked a lot together through out my undergrad and I’ve gotten to know him as a nice guy. He is also the president of the Society of National Journalists, a national organization that has been alive for 100 years aimed to protecting and saving journalists. I told him I would love to get involved in any SPJ events of committiees he needs help with and I think it made his day. When I got home I saw on facebook that his status said something about how today made him love his job even more then before and how he is proud of his students and fellow journalists. Even if it wasn’t because of me, I’m going assume it is. He even gave me a SPJ tote bag and I love it! I’m going to start using it as my work bag. Perfect.
I also almost died today when I went to the gym and ran 2 miles. I am out of shape! I was running close to 5 miles before and then I hurt my knee. I finished a few weeks of physical therapy and I should be cured now, I guess I kinda am, but I’m just extra cautious. I don’t want to run too much too soon so it’s okay to take it slow. I don’t want to be hurt anymore. My new goal is to run a 10k and then a half marathon by next spring/summer. I love running and it makes me feel so healthy! I want to do more and more!
Awww…that’s awesome about the letter of recommendation & coming close to a decision on what grad school & all! Your teacher sounds like a nice guy. It’s always nice to go back & see old favorite teachers!! Andddd…I DEF. need to get to the gym. Like, ASAP. I haven’t been since summer. Baddd! :/

I’m so glad you are pretty sure about grad school! I just recently started working out again (just a workout video at home) but it’s hard to do when there are so many other things to get done (like hold Gunnar, wash dishes/clotes, etc)! But I do need to get in shape!
