Good, great, though still confusing.
Chris was in NJ all week, but I didn’t completely expect him to come home on the date he was supposed to. Last time they extended him, and Thursday he told me they were having problems and may not get done. So when he told me they finished on time, I hoped he would drive home early, instead of waiting for this morning.
I waited to see what he was going to do, but no text. Part of me thought maybe he was on his way, driving. Then I thought better. Don’t get your hopes up. He will probably text you, drunk, at 2am, after spending the evening at Hooter’s or some trashy strip club. So I went to bed around 11:30.
Woke up around 12, when Dex started barking. I told him to go to sleep, it’s nothing. I thought maybe we were both crazy for hearing people outside. Part of me still thinking there is a chance it was him, coming home, parking his truck and grabbing his luggage.
And it was. I heard the door open and there he was. He packed up after work and made the drive down. He is still asleep, now on the couch, at 1 in the afternoon. Catching up on sleep he most likely didn’t get while he was there. But we slept good last night, once we did. After we got nekit and got down to business, he was fast asleep. I missed him. I really think we will be ok.
We are supposed to run our 5k next Saturday, then go camping. Since he hasn’t been running much, I think it will be more like a stroll through the park. I don’t mind. I kept up with my running, for the most part. I lost some of the weight I wanted to. I’m happy with my progress, and he just wasn’t able to do much because of work.
Just like getting out of the 160’s, the 150’s are hanging on. Those last couple of pounds don’t want to leave. I am craving cheese and french fries so badly, but I want to see the 140’s even more. And I know I won’t run tonight, probably not again until Sunday or Monday. So the diet has to stay on track.
No fun at all.
huh. how bout that.
