Christmas parties galore

This week is full of Christmas parties. Tomorrow night is the end of semester pizza party in my department. We do this to honor the hard work of all of our work study student workers as they finish finals and get ready to go home for Christmas.

Wednesday, I have two parties. Resident Life is throwing an appreciation lunch for the facilities services staff who work in the residences. Right after that is the annual Facilities services/ Saftey services party. We’ll be heading to Ol’ Mexico for a lunch buffet.

And then Thursday is the Faculty/Staff Party thrown on by the president of the college. That is always fun. There, they recognize employees for years of service. There are gifts given for every five years of service starting at the 5th year. I have been with the school as an employee for 8 years, but as a work study student for half that time. I’ll get my 5th year gift next year. Don’t remember what it is.

And then the following week, we’ll be in Chicago with family for Christmas! More food and partying there!
