Not Satisfied

Not satisfied . .

Cannot find what I am reaching for.

So many things in the way.

Another obstacle,

Something else to climb over.

Pushing aside the desires,

But I still cannot see anything but black.

The hole is too deep to fill,

No bridge can be built to walk across.

Can I ever reach the other side?

. . Will you be there waiting?

—-

The images are growing stronger,

They come without warning.

Because I deny these wants,

This call.

Such strength in this yearning,

That remains,

Not satisfied.

Where is mine?

I was so strong,

But it’s all I can do to get up and keep going now.
