Shape Recognition
Yay! ShaiAnn is starting to get shape recognition down! I’m so proud of her! I have been slowly starting to tell her the shapes of things. Yesterday Dave ShaiAnn and I were out on our deck and ShaiAnn was playing with the foam flooring I have down out there. Something had rested on one of the foam pads and had dented a circle shape into it and ShaiAnn was sitting there poking at it saying "Curkle" Talk about a proud moment for a mama!! So far she has circles and stars down pretty good!
Im so happy and grateful to be a stay at home Mom! Its the best job in the world!
Things are going very well with the new bed. Last night was the best night yet. I didn’t have to go back in at all. Of course I did tho….what mom doesn’t like to sneak peeks at her sleeping child? lol. She didn’t wake up crying at all last night or fall out of bed so she is getting used to it! Yay! I am just so happy she took to it so well and listens when we tell her to stay in bed. And it is so wonderful to wake up to the sounds of a Playing toddler instead of a Whining toddler, let me tell ya!
GOD I love this child!
Were in our morning routine. Mommy needs her wake up tea in the morning so ShaiAnn gets her breakfast and Curious George in the living room and Mommy drinks her tea and checks her torrent sites in the computer area. The living room and computer area are one big room. Anyways ShaiAnn just wandered over here with her arms swinging in the air to the music like a music conductor. Made me want to pick her up and kiss her face off! lol
We have discovered the wonderful world of little boxed raisins. ShaiAnn loves the tiny treats…and I end up finding half a box laying ALL over the place when shes done with them…lol.
What I am finding weird is that she hardly eats anything in the mornings. I give her food but it often goes mostly ignored with a few nibbles out of it here and there. Shes just not interested in food in the morning. But she sure does eat a good lunch! It just freaks me out that she doesn’t want to eat in the morning. Oh well, she knows when shes hungry and tells me shes "hungy".
Soon comes the Potty Training…
Yeah I started a little bit…but not really. She knows where to pee and when she has peed and pood and tells me so…but…as for the actual potty training work on my part…I havent started yet. Im not quite sure if shes fully ready….or if Im fully ready. After this box of 72 diapers I may just get down to the nitty gritty.
Things are good. Its hot as the depths of hell here these past couple days and will be for a couple still so I have had all the windows shut tight and the air conditioner in ShaiAnns room cranked. Her little nose is covered in sweat beads most of the time. Hot Hot Hot. And the air is filled with humidity. Its Sticky Hot and Gross!
