18 Months Switched her to a BED!!!

Mother and I went and got ShaiAnn a bed today! I put her to bed and left the room…regular routine.  Then I heard her playing with one of her toys so I went in and layed her back down told her it was bedtime and left again.  About 10 minutes later we heard her at another toy so Dave went in and told her it was sleepy time and that she was to stay in her bed and left That was it I went in not long after that and checked on her and she was passed out cold in her new bed.

Now…lol…Whats going to happen through the night?  Will she stay in the bed all night?  Will she fall out at all?  Whats going to happen in the morning??

New adventures in our house Dave had a cool idea.  He layed her crib down on its side, I put her thick floor carpet inside of it to cover up the slats and make a floor in it, we covered it over with a blanket and filled it with toys As soon as she saw it she crawled right in and started playing in there.  She now has a little crib fort! lol.  Its adorable!  Gonna have to keep an eye on her with it make sure she dosent try to crawl up on it…but what kid dosent do that? lol

Shes up and down out of all the chairs now.  Giving me heartattacks watching her wiggler her way out of them, but shes a trooper and does just fine all on her own.She has started to talk more…I mean she has been talking just great so far but now she is starting to put more that two works together in a string.  Like "There It Is" when she finds something you ask her to look for.One of my favorite times of the day is nap time…I still have a nap with her once a day.  Her naps last about an thirty minutes to an hour or so.  When she wakes up she looks at me and says "Get Up" and flips herself over then she sits looking at me with the biggest grin.  Then she wants a Hug and a Kiss.  I love it.  First thing the child wants when she wakes up with a happy smile is a Hug and a Kiss.We were laying there getting ready for our daily nap the other day and ShaiAnn had just drifted her eyes closed and had them that way for a few seconds and I did something to make her open her eyes and I smiled at her….then she started to giggle…and I started to giggle…and then she giggled a bit harder..and I giggled at her giggling a bit harder…so she started to laugh…then I started to laugh…Then she was laughing really hard…My face started to ache I was laughing so hard….And then she pulled her blanket over her eyes and drifted back to sleep…It was Awesome!Poor girl didnt have  nap today.  We went out to the mall with Nanny and just didnt get back in time to make a nap worth it.  Dosent happen often but she did great with it.  She was up about 45 mintues past her bedtime and was still a charming little darling..lol.She had a few moments today tho out at the mall.  I bought myelf a smoothy and let ShaiAnn have a sip of it..then wanted it back cause it was my drink right? …Uh…Nope.  Her little lip curled right out…she turned her face sideways…and then the nose curled up and the face just broke out in tears.  It was adorable!  There was no temper in it at all, just hurt that I took it from her.  I never give in to her little spells but this on was so differnt that I just get her the damn drink.  It is SO damn adorable to see her sitting there with both of her hands planted on the sides of the cup and her drinking out of the straw!  I mean…GOD shes getting so big, growing So fast!I cant belive today she is a year and a half!  *blinks*  Crazyness!Ooooh!  She is mastering the spoon!  I havent given her a fork yet…havent seen any plastic ones out there that I liked yet.  But she is geting more and more to her mouth!  I admit I was very slack atletting her feed herself with a spoon, After we moved I didnt use the high chair much, we would go sit in the living room by the patio doors.  She would sit in her fluffy pink chair and I sat on the floor in front of her with her feet in my lap and spoon fed her myself.  I love those moments. She has been telling me when she poops and pees…Gotta start Potty training for real!   She hasent gone pee or poo in her potty yet.  She knows exactly what they are for tho, but so far when she asks to pee she wants to be on the toilet with her potty seat on it and not on her potty itself.Im going to try the Dr.Phil method, which means I have to buy her some undies.  Ditch the diapers all together right away.  And go from there.I love being a mom so much! lolI love the hugs she gives now.  Instead of just leaning on us with her arms thrown over us she squeezes us now.  I love her little kisses to.  She is a VERY effectionate child always running up and hugging our legs and asking for hugs and kisses.  That my girl!So just like everything else so far, we have had anothe easy transition.  Bed to crib …I better watch what I say…its only been 2 hours…lol.Still healthy as heck, still no colds, no sniffles, no ear aches, no stomach aches, nothing of the sort.  She has gotten sick twice…not including spit ups that used to happen, puked all over herelf.Shes CONSTANTLY testing me with her little pretend fits.  I roll my eyes at her, she knows that dosent work with me.  Mommy dosent give in.  When she dosent get her way she runs down the hall to her bedroom fake crying or whining the whole way…then comes back up the hall like nothing happened.  She deals with it.  Consistancy has helped so much with her.  Im so glad she dosent throw fits!   That cry today with the cup…Gonna have to watch for that one…If she starts to do it that way a lot I will know shes just putting up a show…but today she was tired from no nap…I understood and empathised with her today.Anyways…things are great,  ShaiAnn is just wonderful.

I found moving Scarlett to a bed was the best thing we ever did, we did it around 16 months and it was pretty simple.
