Watching them Graduate

I think about FOD and lurk here…but I find it hard to write.  It’s not a lack of things to write about….I don’t know.

Here goes:
I’m teaching now long enough to watch students go from being freshman to seniors.  It’s the most amazing transformation.  I’ve gotten so much better.  I don’t need to complain on here how horrible the kids are…and the funny thing is they remember those classes as valuable learning experiences.  I was being too hard on myself the whole time.  I don’t know what I was expecting.

But teaching for more than a year is a great experience.  The first year doesn’t feel great at the time.  You have to give it time to appreciate it.
