Expensive houses

Happy Halloween!

I’ve been getting sales calls about plants and gone to some of the biggest damn houses in Miami.  So I’m feeling a tiny bit of jealousy.

I brought my girlfriend on the last call.  The guy had a tennis court, basketball court, and a ten bedroom house.  He wants BIG trees to replace the ones that were lost.  He wants them bigger than my uncles have, so I guess I’m gonna have to make some phone calls.

Hurricane Wilma hit and knocked down his trees.  Maybe during the storm and in the days following it, I might’ve had some great revelations but in the end it’s just a few days of reading without power or phone.  And picking up trees and branches.  They want us to make up the lost days of school on Saturdays.

Too bad I don’t write in here more often.  I suppose the pursuit of money can be blinding.  The solitary graduate student pining in his room is more likely to have something to say on here than a guy hustling to sell trees or busy installing them.

Ah, here’s a new interest that doesn’t involve plants.  I’ve enjoyed making documentary movies.  Well, I’m working on a single movie.  About my grandmother.

I’m also a web design teacher for one period so I gave up one world history class.  Of course teaching is very demanding.  But third year teaching is much less demanding than first year teaching.  That was very, very, very demanding.  Now I’ve got better control and I view the web design as a sort of promotion.

In conclusion, Robert Novak is a devil.

Teaching and running a growing (no pun intended) business is quite an impressive plateful.
