NoJoMo Day 28

I am going to try keeping my diary on the computer for the time being.  I guess I can upload it once a day as time permits.  That way I can work on it a little at a time.  Right now, I am adding pictures to Film Factory and trying to basically organize my pictures on my computer.  It gets tedious, especially when I let it go for as long as I have. 

Sammi put my shockproof/waterproof camera somewhere, and we can’t find it.  Jerry tells me he warned me that she would lose it.  He did, at that.  But, I really wanted her to feel like she could take pictures with it… just wish she hadn’t wandered off with it and lost it.  I should clean her room and look for it. 

I’m looking at the pictures from yesterday, and we got some really cute ones.  The girls all pretty much wore pretty dresses, and I wore a really pretty red sweater w/ beading on it.  It is rather glittery, but just gorgeous.  I guess I will have to upload some, when I get a chance.  We even got one of the “extended family” meaning, us, Jane and Steve and their kids, and Kim.  Well… they ARE family.  🙂

Okay, I’m done organizing the pictures, now it’s time to clean up a little.  I think I’ll set a timer for 15 minutes, and that’s how long I’ll clean.  I’m just not sure where to begin.  I need to clear a working space so I can do some organizing of the small stuff, but I need to be able to sit there and do it.  Perhaps the desk would be a good place to begin.  Well, why not?  Except for the fact that the desk just has SO much stuff on it…  I’ve been meaning to get the one printer/scanner put underneath the desk, so I guess I will begin there.

HA.  I started with my paper, and I’ve actually gotten a bag of it organized by color and texture.  HOWEVER, the box I have the paper in… is FULL.  And I have THREE more bags of scraps.  THREE.  Yikes.  I have far too many scraps.  I never think to go to the scraps for anything, so they just build up.  And I’ve got some pretty large scrap pieces, too.  They’re not all really tiny.  While I filed the scraps, I watched Terminator 2 with Becca.  She kept chasing Syd and Shabree out of the room, quite rudely, so we could watch it.  i was kind of torn about that, I didn’t want them watching it, the dvd player upstairs was having issues playing DVDs. 

Well, I’m not feeling crazy yet with no internet.  I’m not even really missing it.  I guess it’s really because I CAN get on it… I just have to get the modem and hook it up…then deal with the SLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW connection.  Which I do not feel like dealing with, so I will hook it up maybe once a day when Jerry’s not using it, so I can at least upload my diary.  I guess for now, I will not check my favorites.  I just really need to start getting this room in order, and as long as I don’t have a whole lot of entertainment to distract me, I’ll get it done.  But I’d better get it done fast, because a partner of Jerry’s is giving or loaning us 900 dollars to get through the holidays, and we’ll probably pay the Comcast bill so we can keep things on.  I really should be back for reals on Monday.  We’ll get a few presents too, probably stuff we get from Goodwill.  In other words, nothing too new or fancy, but that’s all right.  It’ll be better than getting nothing.  I just have to figure out what to get them.  I know Becca wants bath stuff and new jeans.  Shabree would be happy with a Barbie doll.   I’m not sure what Sydni wants.
