NoJoMo Day 13-Take 2

I went on a field trip with Sydni’s class today… good fun.  We went to the Farmer’s Market in South Sacramento, at an old mall that’s mostly been demolished, all that’s left really is Sears.  Unfortunately, they DON’T take EBT cards, though one vendor took WIC, though I didn’t see anything WIC related.  Tomorrow I pick up my WIC coupons.  We’ve just about gone thought 5 DOZEN eggs in the last WEEK.  No kidding.  I get 4 dozen eggs a month with WIC, and we always end up buying, and using another 5 dozen.  That’s NINE dozen eggs a month for a family of, well, 6 of us eat them.  I’m thinking of starting the baby on soft boiled egg yolks though.  Yum.  And very good for her.  From what I’ve read, there can be allergy issues with the whites.  Though we don’t have ANY allergies in our family.  One of the kids I had today had a peanut allergy.  I was proud of myself, one of the tents had a free sample of walnuts, and I asked, Does anyone have a peanut allergy?  One kid said yes, so I told him no walnuts, it could set off a reaction as well.  Better safe than sorry in that kind of situation, right?  You have to be careful with nut allergies.  So anyway, we walked around the market for a couple of hours, learning various things.  Sydni got 75 cents in tokens to spend on fruit… and of COURSE she had to have a pomegranate.  Okay, I like Poms well enough, however…  they are NOT a good deal.  I might plant a pom tree assuming we keep this house just so she can have poms, because they are expensive for what you get.  I had a great time today.  So after I came home, I suggested to Jerry that we go use the Logan’s Roadhouse gift certificates he found laying around.  Whoohoo.  I tried to get a 5 dollar off coupon, but it wasn’t showing up in my email box… I think it probably showed minutes after we left.  It’s there now.  They’re expensive.  We ended up sharing a full rack of ribs, it was 46 cents over budget, I simply emptied my change onto the table to account for the overage and the tip… sigh…wasn’t much of a tip.  But… we were good, even Sammi didn’t make too much of a mess.  One of our sides was mac and cheese, and Sammi GREATLY enjoyed that.  We had a baked potato, and bread to fill the gaps.  It was nice.  When we came home, I took a nap… needed it.  Syd took Alex, but she was crying on the couch when I came downstairs.  So I fed her, and then gave her a bottle.  Sydni has been angry at everyone and everything because she’s grounded, but I won’t go into the details.  Right now, she’s fine… she’s helping Jerry cook dinner.  No shortage of help for dinner… but always a shortage when it comes to clean up.

Good day.  I’m still having problems with my fingers hurting from the eczema though.  Especially my forefinger… pointer?  It’s cracked, not quite bleeding though.

I’m ready for things to change.  It was nice eating out.  I told Syd I would go play Uno, so going to wrap things up.
