NoJoMo Day 1-Trick or Treat, Smell my feet

Well, it’s not like I need much incentive to write each day.  But… it sounded like fun, so thought I’d participate.  Whatever, you know?

Halloween was fun, we went trick or treating from about 6 to about 8:30, and the girls brought home quite a haul, lol.  We combined most of it into one bag, they were allowed to keep 5 just for themselves.  Shabree gave me a ton of stuff, as did Syd.  Bec… eh, not so much.  Oh well, I ate too much chocolate… as usual.  But we walked quite a bit tonight, so I should be all right, weight wise… if you can call gaining 10 pounds over the last few weeks "all right."  Grrr.  I’ve been doing a lot of walking lately, trying to balance it out a bit, and hopefully lose some weight.  We’ll see how that goes, and if it sticks.  I’m not one much for routines.  I probably OUGHT to be, but I’m not.  Sammi was SO cute.  I ended up dressing Alex up as Elmo, though I got some shots of her in Sammi’s old pumpkin (actually, jack o lantern) costume.  Jerry and I even dressed up, Jerry as an awesome looking pirate (he made the costume himself a few years ago!) and me as a football player.  I could have been quite a few things, but I ended up putting on a black shirt with an orange mesh shirt like football players wear over it, and then just added some black eyeshadow under my eyes.  It worked.  Sammi loved trick or treating…she is a candy fiend that one.  Shabree is not so much of a candy fiend.

Well, I have to go, Jerry tells me Alex is crying.

RYN: Thank you so much for your compliment and your advice on my singing. My mom says the same thing–that I don’t smile enough. I think I was too close to the lyrics of that song to be able to put the meaning at a distance. I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment 🙂
