Another survey… learn a little more about me.

Well, I couldn’t help myself.  When I saw this survey, I had to do it.  I pasted it yesterday, but didn’t get a chance to answer it til today.  I almost said "this morning" because I’ve been up for about an hour, and it’s 1:30… I know, pathetic.  But I guess I needed the sleep, because I got 5 solid "no baby" hours, which was wonderful, and then another 5 or so hours w/ her nursing on and off in a weird, back aching, sleeping position.  Any time I moved, she woke up and wanted to nurse!  Story of my life with her.  So, I did the survey, then came back up to write this.  Not too much going on around here.  Becca got her Brown belt yesterday.  She’s pretty happy about that.  I spent most of yesterday in bed, actually.  I don’t know what’s up with me, but I’ve been pretty tired.  Shabree was in trouble, for having some temper tantrums, so offered to watch Sammi to get out of her room.  At 3, I had her put Sammi down for a nap, and Shabree went back to her room…where she also took a nap.  And I also ended up falling asleep, despite my intent not to.  On Friday, I took Shabree out of school at 11:30 and she went to see the doctor about her warts, which she sat patiently while the NP ICED them off… 15 warts.  You could see Shabree breathing carefully and doing her best not to cry.  She was SOOOO good.  She did not cry, and the NP told her she was very brave.  Which…that would be Shabree.  She can be tough as nails when she chooses to be.  She also got her flu shot, at her request (her teacher told her she should get it, so she did.)  I was very proud of her.  We go back in two weeks to have whatever warts aren’t gone re-iced.  Poor thing.  But to her, it’s worth it to have them gone.  She is getting kids at school refusing to hold her hand because of the warts. 

Oh, I got approved to be a girl scout leader… though my kids don’t seem to care very much.  I think Syd is sad because Kristin refuses to be in her troop (supposedly Kristin’s mad at her… this kid, I swear!  She’s NOT a good friend to Sydni.)  And Shabree… probably forgot all about it.  Oh well, she’ll enjoy it when she’s doing it.  Becca did.  I was hoping to have one meeting before the Christmas holidays, but it’s not gonna happen, I don’t think.  Oh well.  We should be in time for cookie sales, so that’ll be good.  I would prefer not to need dues.  With times being what they are…

Hm…. In and Out Burger.  I’ve tried them 3 times, and just NOT impressed.  AT ALL.

So far… nothing/no one.

Neither… but Football if you’re going to sit me down and force me to watch.  The Broncos only though.

I have.

Chinese

Hm… Christmas I think.

Every once in awhile.  I have a pretty large collection as it is.

Nope.

20. Opinion of Chinese symbol tattoos?
I think that one should have great knowledge about Chinese symbols before they choose to mark their body with them. You never really know what those things mean.

No.

Yes.

I do.

Sometimes.

I have.

I have done that too.

Growing up in Greeley, Colorado, it was inevitable, lemme tell ya.

Not sure, haven’t been outside yet.

The baby, for once, cooing on the couch (talking to herself…it’s cute!)

I think my favorite song.. the one I NEVER tire of hearing, is probably Africa, by Toto. 

33. What was the last movie you watched?
Some cartoon about a bear staying up for Christmas.  It was on On Demand.  It sucked.  Oh, Jerry watched My Fellow Americans on On Demand… it was very funny, and not sucky at all.

34. Do you wear contacts?
My vision is non-correctable, so no.

35. Where was the last place you went besides your house?
Took Shabree to the doctors on Friday.

36. What are you afraid of?
My children dying before me.

I have two in each ear.

39. What’s one thing you’ve learned this year?
Hm…. Obviously I’ve learned I can do without.  I’ve learned I can survive on little to no money.  I’ve learned that I don’t need to shop to fulfill some unfulfillable need.  I’ve learned that my family is the most important thing to me.  I’ve learned that my kids will survive if they don’t get everything they want (me too!), I’ve learned that you can make a kid do chores without some reward being behind it, lol.  I’ve learned that when you really want/need something, the Universe WILL make it happen.

I don’t drink coffee.  They do have a caramel apple cider I love… in SMALL amounts. 

41. What Magazines are you reading?
Reader’s Digest, but I think my subscription ran out.  Will have to renew that one.

I have.  My dad taught me… those things have q

Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve spoken to Ellen, and I seem to have completely lost touch with Gregg…

Heroes and Life.  They’re both awesome.  I also enjoy Clean House, and Jon and Kate, though not as much as before I started looking them up online.

I do not.

No one I can think of.

The Princess Bride.  I never tire of watching it "As you wish"  A classic line.

I do, yes.

Must be Baby smell…esp after a bath.  But there’s something about Alex… I love breathing her in.

LOL, the lack of money!

Not since Thriller, which I loved.

I don’t have one.

No.  But I worked for one once…a psychic hotline.  Really though, I had issues with it, so I quit quickly.

60. What’s the longest time you’ve gone without sleep?
I don’t remember, but since I don’t do well without sleep, probably not much more than 24 hours, if that.  20 would be my guess.

61. Last time you went bowling?
Hm… I bowled at John’s Pizza this last year… a mini bowling lane.  It was fun.

62. Where is the weirdest place you have slept?
In the car I think… I remember once going to a relative that had cats, and within an hour or two, my body nearly shut down w/ allergies, I couldn’t breathe, eyes were black from rubbing, I was sniffling and sneezing.  I slept in the car.

When am I NOT at work?  I’m a stay at home mom.

An Elmer’s glue stick.  It has an orange cap.
