Oh man….

Here it is, already the middle of June.  HOW does that happen?  And I was just looking at my age on this thing, realizing that the 37th birthday is coming up, and REALLY, how did THAT happen?  Gees, before you can blink, I’ll be 40 (sniff sniff).  Next year I’ll be mother to a TEENAGER!!!!!

Yikes… it’s too much to comprehend.  I mean, isn’t 40 kind of old?  Ugh.  Okay, it’s not OLD… but I just don’t feel "grown up" enough to be that old.  Does that make more sense?

I don’t want to have a birthday anyway.  They just suck anymore… and not because it’s another year, but because I don’t get to be a kid about it.  I don’t get to constantly ask, what are you getting me?  I don’t get to be all silly, stupid and excited about it.  I don’t know, it’s just ho hum boring and depressing.  Well, this year we won’t be on vacation on my birthday, so that MIGHT change the presents department, lol. 

Oh heck, I’ve got to go get after the kids about cleaning the backyard.  They want a pool, but Jerry said the backyard had to be cleaned first.  I don’t really want an above-ground pool, but this year, it’s better than nothing!!!!!
 
Maybe next year we can have a pool put in… if Jerry makes any money.

I should really go, but just on a side note, Sammi is doing really well, cute as can be, smart as a whip, lol… well, when they’re your kids they always are, right?  She recently learned to clap, is doing really well eating her food, is walking using the furniture still… but I’m sure she’ll get moving on her own very soon here… well, before she’s 12 months anyway… it would surprise me if she didn’t, but recently she’s started "talking"  Your typical infant babble, but some of it’s understandable, and sometimes she surprises us with a very good approximation of what we just said… weird, but I am not thinking there’s much behind it other than copying what she’s hearing, but that’s good…she’s on the road to communication.

I had better go!  These kids do NOTHING when I sit at the computer (unfortunately!)
