Taking care of the kids, reading, scrapbooking, on the net.

Most favorite: Reading (yes, I took a reading class. It was designed to make you a faster reader.) and Music
Least Favorite: Math, hands down

To finish nursing Alexandria

Hm, I’m not sure…Alex will be starting school about then, but who knows?

Mommyhood, for sure.
8. Are you more child-like or childish?
Hm, this is a hard one… I can be quite childish at times, but I am probably more child-like.

I have, Tai Chi (and yes, it IS a martial art, just done very slow)

Loaded question. I suppose right now it’s worse, but it can only go up from here, right?

I think it does…though sometimes therapy helps speed the process along, lol
14. How do you handle a rainy day?
Mmm, I LOVE rainy days. But I usually stay inside on them. If I have to go out, I grab a jacket and if I have one, an umbrella and just deal with it.
15. Which is worse…losing your luggage or having to sort out tangled holiday lights?

16. How is your relationship with your parents?
Great for the most part. No complaints.

Hell yes.

Not to be redundant, but I love my family.

When I was 10, I wanted to own a restaurant. When I was 15, I wanted to be a writer. Go figure, yes?

Never needed one, thank you.

Depends. Right now, more of a taker, though I TRY to be a giver too. It is what makes the world go round after all.

I try to, yes.
23. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?
Has to be childbirth, but totally worth every second.
24. What is the most emotionally painful thing that has ever happened to you?
When my ex husband told me he wanted kids, but not with me. Oh, and my mother telling me sometimes I was useful, but mostly I was useless.

How people make me feel.

The 19..
20’s: Speakeasys, flappers, tommy guns
30’s: The Great Depression, hunger, joblessness, a great President
40’s: War
50’s: Happy Days
60’s: Hippies, free love, mom and dad getting married, the Peace Corps (mom was in), the Vietnam War (dad was in)
70’s: Me as a child, mom and dad divorcing
80’s: Me as a teenager, GREAT music, big hair, high school
90’s: Married to Gregg, working for Sykes, living with the developmentally disabled people, getting FIRED because of Gregg, not growing up, getting divorced, having fun with my friends, LOTS of movies, going to the Melting Pot with Ellen, going to the comedy club with my friends almost once a month. Finally growing up. Moved to Sacramento to go to work for Apple at the end of the decade, met Jerry.
2000 (so far): Best decade yet… Married Jerry, and his 2 kids, then added 3 more, had our own very successful business, quit Apple, became a Stay at Home mom (which I’d dreamed of doing since I was a kid), war, history was made when the first black president was elected
2010’s: So much possibility, can’t wait to see what happens.
35. Which decade do you feel the most special connection to and why? Two decades, this one and the 80s. I just love the music from the 80s, and those were my “formative years” I have SO many memories from that time, both bad and good. And this decade because of all the wonderful things that have happened, and how I feel so good being in my own skin now.

Africa, by Toto, hands down. Though I also like “I want to know what love is.”

Oooh… I love both forms of transportation.
42. Why is the sky blue during the day and black at night?
You REALLY want me to answer this? If memory serves, the sky is blue because when the sun shines, blue is the only color in the spectrum not hidden. SOMETHING like that. I can look it up if it’s that important to you. It’s black at night because of a lack of sunlight creating color.

Princess, isn’t that nice? I think so.

Yes, though I couldn’t tell you, because I can’t remember… but I know I have.

Oh my gosh, yes. I even used to read Tarot cards myself…pretty good at it too. My ex husband gave me a very accurate reading when I first met him. We used to go to psychic fairs quite a bit, lol
59. What is your idea of paradise?
Pretty standard, being in a tropical location with Jerry (and if it were long term, the kids). I love Hedonism in Jamaica.

I’m not sure anymore. I’m still working on this one.

Been to a nudist resort.

Ugh, I don’t like this question… I gave Jane 500 dollars. Jerry only wanted to give her 300, I told him we should make it 5. This was after Hurricane Katrina.

You have GOT to be kidding me. We don’t have enough holidays as it is? Maybe August needs a holiday, but I can’t think of what to call it.

67. What’s the best joke you ever heard?
Jesus and the Devil are having a contest on who has the best computer skills. They’re making databases, they’re attaching peripherals, they’re programming programs, they’re doing word processing. All of a sudden, the electricity goes out. When it comes back on, the Devil screams “I lost it all! No!” while Jesus calmly gets back on the computer. God declares Jesus the winner, and the Devil asks why. God replies “Jesus Saves.”

Hedo, hands down. Though of course, I’m a HUGE fan of Disney anything.

Natrual for the time being.

Pretty much up front. I do have ONE deep dark secret.

Boxes, baby bottles, kid stuff.

Go home, I think.

LOL, you’ll love this. Was watching The Bucket List last night, and I forget the song, but I was dancing with Alex to it, and of COURSE Sammi had to be in on that action, so I was dancing with one child on each hip. SO cute.

Disney, but I honestly love both.
77. What is the first animal you would run to see if you went to the zoo?
The monkeys are alwasys fun. But I believe Bec would drag me to the White Tigers, or even just the regular ones. She loves Tigers.

Definitely

No. Well… we might, if gravity stopped, which it might very well do.
80. What is the one thing that you love to do so much that you would make sacrifices to be able to do it?
I suppose scrapbooking…but I also love to read quite a bit.

I’ll have to think about this one… it’s tough.

I ought to be, and if we got the paper, I probably would… problem with coupons is that the store brand is almost always cheaper even WITH a coupon. They’re close to useless the way I shop.

I got a bunch of scrapbooks the other day for the Make A wish project I participate in.
90. Which would you rather take as a gym class…dancing, sailing, karate, or bowling?
Well, I took bowling in high school. Dancing could be fun, but I’d probably take Karate.
91. In Star Trek people ‘beam’ back and forth between different places. What this means is they stand in a little tube and their molecules are deconstructed and sent to another tube somewhere else where they are reassembled. Only problem is when the molecules are deconstructed the person is dead. When they are put back together it is only a clone that has all the dead person’s memories. So…

RYN: Thanks for the note. I don’t know how much you’ve read, but I know I’ve been depressed, but that’s only part of it. The other part is that I just physically can’t do everything like I used to anymore. Thankfully, that is getting better. Right now, I think I could use a good kick in the butt. RYN:RMN: Ah, ok. I wonder if it’s a different one? (How can that be possible? lol) or maybe they finished it finally. Plenty of people bitched about it in notes, that’s for sure. Oh well, all my work is down the drain cus I deleted everything. ARGH! 🙂
