Your monkey sleeps inside me.

Before Mum came to visit, my lunches were always tiny, snack-sized things, because I just couldn’t fit any more in. While Mum was here, every weekday we had lunch (or as we called it, breakfast 2) downstairs, where I ate a fair amount. Thankfully, that has remained. I just ate a ginormous bowl of ramen/veggies/chicken and it was sooo good. I peeled a carrot so it could pretend to be noodles, chopped up celery (and the centre of the carrot that wouldn’t peel), and threw in some frozen peas and corn. Other than that, it was our usual "ramen with breaded chicken breast and honey mustard sauce" easy-ass meal. Mmm. Food.

Woke up feeling crummy yesterday. Still do. Eating makes it better though, and that’s also why I had ramen – mmm, salt (I used 1/3 to 1/2 the seasoning packet, but without it, it just lacks in chickenyness). Last night I slept TERRIBLY, after waking up to pee in the middle of the night I couldn’t get back to sleep. Too much stuffy nose and sneezing and claggy feeling inside my mouth. I hate sleeping when I have to breathe through my mouth. So the second half of the night was me being aware and just sort of semi-dozing. Woo.

This morning, Baby A had a doctor’s appointment. (I know technically I had the appointment, but it is more fun to say she had it seeing as she is the reason we are there.) With an actual doctor this time. At my first appointment, I was told who delivered the baby depends on the day of the week, so they like pregnant patients to see all the doctors. Problem is, all the other doctors aren’t covered by my insurance, so I can’t see them. So that’s fun. 1/5 isn’t bad though. Nice guy, was 20 minutes late (my appointment was at 9am, nurse weighs me/tests my pee/leaves me in a room and then someone shows up 15 minutes after appt time, Dr Albini didn’t show up until 9:35…or later but I got sick of looking at the time) but the first words out of his mouth was an apology for being late and why. Very quick, almost rushed appointment, but that was understandable. I got a flu shot (woo) and made sure to pass on the info Mum told me (she never went into labour and of the 3 times, even after water breaking she had to be induced) so they know that may happen to me now.

My next visit is a week after my birthday. Not long before I get a bit closer to being oooollld. heh

Time to laze on the couch reading magazines (free baby related ones AND a pile of recipe filled ones that Lisa gave me a few weeks ago) and drinking lots of water. The good feeling from eating has worn off.

Title: Is one I have unfortunately used already, and I knew I had, but it was last year so that’s ok right? And this time it’s true, there is a monkey sleeping in me. Although not right now. Right now I’m being gently booted

Baby A? Does that mean that her name will begin with A? 😀 I hope whichever doctor you happen to get is awesome and that everything goes smoothly. You’re not close to getting old! That would mean I’m close to getting old too and that just won’t do! 😛

RYN: Haha, I suppose it *could* mean that either! A is a good letter to start a name with though (I may be slightly biased!) 🙂

oh my god, if you’re old, i’m ancient!!

Or maybe she kicks in her sleep! ~jo

Heh, your baby’s awake time in the womb is a good indicator as to when they’ll be awake in their first weeks out in the world! 😉

Baby A?! Does this mean she has a name starting with A? Ooooooo…

Baby A! You’re gonna be tired by the time you get to Baby Z! =)

Ohhh Baby A huh? I’m excited to know the name now!! Glad your eating, the stuffyness may be a difference in blood type from the baby, I have AB- and Josh had o+ which caused me to be stuffy the last 3 months, but good Nasal spray and when it’s really bad Dimatapp to the rescue! I’m putting together some baby stuff for you (neutral stuff from Josh, and a few new things) Do youhave a theme??

Is it sad that I’ve never thought to add things to ramen? That is BRILLIANT.

I was wondering about the A in baby A too?
