Where does the cheese grater go?

15 weeks.

We had a LONG weekend the one just gone. Yes, it was only 2 days long, but we packed so much into those 2 days that it felt like at least 4.

On Friday night I wrote up a "Spree to Shine" to do list. It had 76 items on it, because I made it VERY detailed, and if it was a task that was to be done in each room (like sweeping) it was listed 4 times. So that was what we did on Saturday. ALL of Saturday. We started at 9:30 (after breakfast and teeth-brushing), had a little break at 10:30 for a beverage. At 1 we went downstairs for a shared lunch of a reuben and some fries (I want my chicken salt! Only a few more hours before I have it!) because we are just that cute. I think our next rest was at 5pm when we were done. So we had a workday’s length of a cleaning spree. We got 65 of the tasks done, and at least 5 of the ones we didn’t do were because they turned out to be things we couldn’t or didn’t need to do.

The whole day was lovely though, and full of love and hugs and smooches. We are normally like that anyway, but it was spurred on by the adorability that I woke up to. When I woke on Saturday, Jake got off the computer and came over to the bed to hang out with me for a little bit, like he does often. And then he said "I’ve only eaten one granola bar so far today, because I wanted to have a bowl of something with you. Because today is a day of doing stuff together" !! Isn’t that adorable? That totally melted me into a puddle of goo *splash*. So we shared oatmeal for breakfast like cuties.

Saturday night we ‘relaxed’ in front of the tv. I couldn’t really relax because I had so much energy and just wanted to keep doing stuff, but we had nothing more to do! It is amazing how much more energy I have now that I’m not exhausted all day from growing a placenta.

Sunday morning we took a long time to wake up, just lazing about in bed. I read the few faves who had written overnight, and Jake patted Mowgli and whichever other cats decided to come join us. It took us an hour before we actually got up, and that was only because I had to pee and baby was making me hungry.

We ran away for the day and did laundry, which was confusing because it seemed to go really quickly. I kept thinking we had left something behind but we didn’t. Did a few more boring errands and then we were home for proper relaxation.

Everything is clean now, which is lovely. The cats were rather hyper this morning, I think they know something is happening. In about an hour, Jake and I are heading to JFK airport to pick up an Ellen who is going to be staying with us for 4 weeks! It would be so nice if Jake could drive so we could split the driving, but we are planning to get to the airport with enough time for us to relax a bit and my knee to calm down from switching between pedals. I have 4 trips to JFK in the next 6.5 weeks. Lots of driving! And in that time there is also a trip to New London and maybe New Haven and who knows where else. All driven by me. Loads of fun.

Jake was initially going to work until 2:15 today, but he came upstairs on his lunch break at about 11:15 (or 11:30? I forget) and announced that he didn’t have to go back. Woo, bonus hours of hanging out! I love my husband.

Title: What Jake just asked me. He grated me a few slices of cheese last night for a dessert to my snack of apple sauce. He’s so lovely. The apple sauce was also lovely, but MAN did it make me want roast vegetables. I can’t remember the last time I had apple sauce and it was accompanied by carrots and potaotes and pumpkin and peas. That is a meal I really enjoy back home. Mum makes lamb for everyone else but I have it as a vegetarian meal. Yum yum yum. We are totally going to do something similar soon, but with chicken so I can get some protein amongst my other tasties. Yay, food!

Your husband is too cute!! Also, it’s good to see that your morning sickness has passed. Some women have it for their entire pregnancy (how awful is that?!)…

The apple sauce goes with pork, not lamb. Yummy roast food. Sezzie’s got a baby bump!!! I’m happy enough to do the people carrier limo to somewhere near you so you don’t have to drive to the airport. You’ll just have to arrange it for me.

you look fantabulous!! xx
