I’ve been meaning to write all week. I’ve been incredibly slack.

Kitties are still not here. She finally called Sunday afternoon and said she’d be over within the hour with the cats, and then 20 minutes later called to say not today. So yeah, that’s fun. They’ll get here eventually, or not at all. Beh.

I made meatloaf the other day. In muffin form. Jake adored them, and was so happy for the rare beefy dinner. I liked it too, which was good. I don’t like the flavour of beef, but these tasted just like onions and garlic to me. I have a very simple palate. Jake has a more sophisticated palate and could also taste the beef and possibly other parts of the ingredient list (I forgot to ask).

Tomorrow we are going to dinner with Jake’s Dad and the stepsiblings on that side of the family. Chinese buffet again. I always feel bad when someone pays for me to eat at a buffet, because I definitely to not eat anywhere near enough to make it worth the money. Fried rice and chocolate pudding – that’s going to be my meal tomorrow.

Next Sunday, my Dad is coming to visit!! I’m super super excited about that. He’s going to be here for almost 2 whole weeks! That shall be lovely. I miss my Daddy.

Our dining table is covered in clothes. The laundromat was so full of people today. Thankfully, they were all very nice, moreso than normal.

I mentioned that at the start of March the restaurant downstairs changed their colours… so Jake had to buy some dark red shirts to wear. We found him a bunch of nice red shirts for work. Which is awesome, because he looks really good in red.
