Towel-swan *many videos*

I keep forgetting things I want to write about, but it’s hard to remember because every time I’m here, Ashley starts to fuss or say "mama mum mama mama mum" and so only the starts of my entries make sense. So I’ve compiled a list.

Hambone – I don’t remember if I wrote this or not. Ashley said hambone. Well… hambo, but still. When Lisa and Matt came over last week or so, Lisa brought a ham bone so we can make beans & cornbread. I was telling Ash about that the night before, and she said "ha mm bo" , then the next day I was telling Lisa about it, and she said it again. A few days later, I was telling Kerry about it, and she said it AGAIN. I think because there was no ‘ne’ on it, it doesn’t count as a first word. Last night, she did repeat "mama" when I asked her to, so maybe that counts. WOO, ME!

Object permanence – I forget why I wanted to write about this. Stupid short reminder notes. I think it was something about how I used to be able to hide her pacifier from her and she wouldn’t care, but now she actively looks for it.

Teething/friday 13th fussies – The reason no photos were taken (for the first day ever) on Friday the 13th was because Ash started teething. She napped 4-5 times, and each time she spent 30-60 minutes before fussing loudly. Like she’s doing right now. She’ sucking on frozen towels and teething toys but they aren’t doing a nything to help. YARGH.

Carrot eating.

Dammit… I’ll be back later. Hopefully.

Back! After 10 minutes on my lap, Ash was bored of me and kept craning her neck so she could see her daddy.

Angry bubbles

Handshake – I’m trying to teach her to shake hands because I think an infant that shakes hands would be hilarious.

Understanding sit/stand up – When she is laying on her back, I offer my hands and ask Ash if she wants to sit up or stand up. Well, I say one or the other. When I say stand up, she stiffens up so she gets pulled into a standing position. She stays looser when I say sit up, so she can easily be pulled into a seated position. Other than the words, there is nothing different. So… she must understand me. It happens way too often to be coincidence.

Baby kisses – Have I ever mentioned this? Ash licks my lips to give me kisses. It’s adorable. Slobbery-ick, but so cute.

Sheet parachute – Ash’s favourite game: laying on the bed, under the sheet. I lift it so it gets air underneath and drifts down on us. She smiles, giggles, eats the sheet… all kinds of funny cute happy things.

And now to end this…

Ashy’s favourite silly face lately is fishy lips.

I just love you guys. You’re the most adorable little family. ♥ And I cannot BELIEVE how much Ashley is looking like her Daddy! More and more each day. She’s absolutely precious, bless her. xxx

Oh! I never used them for Maddie but they are MIRACULOUS for Asa! Hyland’s Baby teething tablets. They come in a small bottle of 250 for about $10 at Walmart (or any store that sells baby stuff, some grocery stores probably even have them) and they are worth their weight in GOLD! You can give them 2 at a time and they are ITTY BITTY and dissolve in their mouth. And it doesn’t hurt anymore. GOLD!

She is so adorable! I loved the carrot video. And this my come across as slightly weird, but you have a beautiful sounding voice. Just saying.

I think Mama counts for sure!!!

Gorgeous! Just one question: how much carrot was eaten and how much was just used for facepaint? hehehe
