They just replaced the cookies with HAM!!

This is one of my favourite pictures of Jake and I. Us being silly. Nothing better or more true.

Our stove is WHISTLING and has been all day. Like there is a cricket or cicada or something in it. It does it when there is traffic outside because that makes the building shake ever so slightly… but it has been going all day! It is a bit too much really. The high pitched noises is driving me nuts. Obviously music is needed.

This morning we headed off to the store to get a bunch of things known as groceries. It was… busy. So difficult just getting to the back part of the parking lot where the grocery store is. Good part was, once we were out of the car we could walk anywhere, no need to worry about a car zooming up on our butts. And thankfully once we were done, it was slightly better. Or maybe that was just because I had a treat next to me so if I felt impatient/stressed by it I could eat the delicious multi chocolatey muffin that was still fresh and warm. Didn’t need it, so it was breakfast when we got home. I’ve had a good healthy food day like that.

So our christmas foods are turkey breast for me, lamb for Jake. I like having that organised already. Mmm…. tasty foods.

It’s pretty cold in here today. I’m not sure why. I think the heater is being lazy.

There is a party going on downstairs. I think it is the ‘customer appreciation’ party, but I’m not sure. Jake and I were under the impression that it was the party to swap the secret santa-type gifts. Now he has to grab the gift bag and bring it back up at some point because there are cookies in it and nothing worse than giving someone stale cookies as a gift.

So yes, at the party there was a bunch of food, but nothing that appealed to me. Jake had 2 plates, and not one thing made me ask for a little bite. And then the dessert came out…. home made carrot cake!! So the old men who we were sharing a table with (who kept asking why I wasn’t eating… was I on a diet? etc) laughed because I was gobbling down the tasty dessertables.

And since we’ve been upstairs, I’ve had a gingerbread cookie. Told you it’s been a good food day!!

My title is words to live by, according to Jake. At least that’s what he said when I told him that fact when it happened. Ham is good, but it is not cookies.

DUDE!! I forgot about the awesome thing! We found tim-tams at the store today!! They aren’t the proper brand… but man, WOO! I hope they are good. We got caramel ones. I really really…. oh man they made me happy to find at the store.
