The greatest thing in the history of great things!

Well… that’s how I described something to Jake, anyways. It’s cool, but not that good. My brain just wanted to use that combination of words.

I made many star cookies today. 53 big ones and…. I didn’t count but probably at least 20 miniature ones. And they are all very delicious.

It is so grossly hot right now. But at the same time, it’s not. We are both sweaty, but the air conditioners are doing nothing because they don’t like to work properly if the outside air isn’t that hot. It’s just… not moving at all. Plus the oven was on. Although it only took me… 25 minutes to bake all the cookies? I love sugar cookies and their quick time like that.

It was very busy downstairs, so Jake worked for quite a while. He normally gets his breakfast/lunch at about 11, but today it wasn’t until 12:30. So when he came up I yoinked his wallet and went grocery shopping while he rested. It was odd. I haven’t had to push a trolley in years, that’s always Jakes job. I squeeze through the potential crowds and grab stuff and go back to him. So having to do all of that today was almost confusing.

These cookies baked together! Unfortunately, they broke right after the picture, but mmm… awesome. That was due to me having too many little dudes and trying to squeeze them all on the last tray of cookies. I really don’t like rolling out cookie dough and using cookie cutters and all that. It’s fun at first, but after an hour I was completely done. At least mentally. My hands ended up glazed, it was delicious. Sweat and butter and powdered sugar… thankfully there was no taste to the sweat.

This is how many I made! Tomorrow morning I have to add sweet coating to the tops of them so they are coloured and the occasional nail-mark is less obvious. Jake told me that my hand mixer was interfering with the radio downstairs, and when he told them it was coz I was baking for tomorrow they were all "oooo!!" So that’s a good thing.

I had peanut butter dinosaur sandwiches for lunch. So so good. I like things in the shape of a dinosaur.

I wish it was an hour later. I want bed.
