The entirety of banana-related devices
Today marks our last full day here. For this visit, at least. Suitcases are packed (full, but not in a way that I had to force anything, so that’s a good thing), goodbyes have happened (well… with Matty and Claire, as we won’t see them tomorrow) and… stuff.
Had to go pick up Natey and Claire from Claire’s house this morning, as Natey couldn’t be bothered driving there last night so they both went in Claire’s car. Was like old times, going to get him from that location.
We went to Greensie for lunch, pies are a good thing. As are two extra bags of creme eggs… the open one of which I forgot to give to Claire before she left.
I want to pack our toothbrushes so everything is done tomorrow morning (seeing as we are leaving the house at 4:30am… 8am flight, gotta be there 3 hours early apparently… woo) but of course, have to do teeth in the morning. We do have a bunch of new ones in packets at home though… so I could just toss these ones when we are done with them. Hmm…. ideas.
This evening has been spent watching many many episodes of NCIS. Some of which we had never seen, some which we had but only vaguely remembered.
Will write after flight.

…ok. So. Our flight goes to Sydney and then to NY… apparently. So the first flight is domestic. Confusing. And according to whatever mum used to look up our flights, the one straight to NY is not. It goes to LA. Yet there is no mention of it in anything that I have. So confused. Mixed with saying goodbye to Dad (he’s not coming to the airport in the morning, Natey and Mum are though) it’s hard to stop tears. Which will make getting to sleep difficult. Which will make waking up and functioning at 4:30 kinda hard (we’re leaving at 5 now, due to the domestic nature of the flight, so I’ll have time to start coordinating my own body hopefully) …. stress is no fun. They better not mind our international sized luggage.
It has been lovely having you here. Just like old times, but with a Jake. I shall miss you terribly. Lots of love.
