That odd extra bit of white on shoes

Today has been so lovely.

A sleep in, followed by brinner-for-lunch (I refuse to call it brunch, as there was no fruit. Or bagels. Those are brunchy things, yes?) and a whole bunch of relaxing.

We went for a lovely stroll around town, went a different way because there was no worry of cars so we werent’ restricted by footpaths. Yay for being able to walk down the middle of the road. Was great, for a good stretch of road I was kicking a rock along, with no worries of a car coming up behind me. I love this small town.

For dinner we actually finished off the turkey!  And tomorrow the ham will probably be gone… good week of so much leftovers. I love it. Our list on the fridge door (which I wrote up because out fridge was OVERFLOWING and I didn’t want to forget about something and have it go off) is getting smaller and smaller by the day.

Oh, and you know what was really good? I had some leftover apples from the pie, they were mixed in goo on Saturday and have just been sitting, mascerating, ever since. So I drained them, mixed the juice with brown sugar and oats and threw that apple crumble in the oven. SO GOOD. Even better than the pie was actually. Maybe because it was actually hot? Silly pie not being hot when we wanted to eat it.

Today is really Sunday, right? It feels way too much like a Sunday to NOT be a Sunday.

Happy thanksgiving, everyone.
