Thanks, large tap-dancing chicken!

Ashley is 6 months old today! Even more exciting, her Uncle Natey is coming to visit her today!! YAY! NATEY!! I so miss my twin-but-not.

I did it again with the not writing much. I hate this.

Ashley ate sweet potatoes, her 6th food. She ate half a jar the first day and polished it off the next. That in itself is new and different, normally she eats 1/4 of a jar and then doesn’t want food for days. I was so proud of her for finishing it. She really loved painting the high chair with the food, and slamming her hand into a little pile of food she gathered so it would splatter up on me.

Yesterday, in preparation for NATEYVISIT, I cleaned the apartment. And made cookies. I made zucchini/lemon cookies and they were the best cookies I have ever eaten! Today, however, they have absorbed crazy amounts of moisture so they are soft and don’t have the awesome crispy ‘shell’ that they had yesterday, so they aren’t so great. They are actually a touch disappointing. Jake and I were planning on snacking on them on the way to the airport to get NATEY. Lisa (Jake’s mum) is coming to watch Ashley for the probably-5-hours we’ll be gone. Probably still will eat them, but they aren’t as good. Pout.

 
 
 
 

Ashley realy likes photo shoots lately. She poses so cutely for me. In that last photo, the purple dress with the green hat, she picked that outfit all by herself. I just piled all the laundry to put away around her and let her pick what to wear. It didn’t last long, but it really was a cute combo.
