Symphony of a song
We had some CRAZY weather this evening. It rained for, probably not even a minute, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a couple of inches in that short time. Ashley and I were at the window watching cars and such and BAM rain was pouring all of a sudden. A big gust of wind happened at the same time, throwing water into the window we were looking out of (thankfully it was shut, all the other windows on that side of the apartment were open and water got halfway across the rooms!) and I grabbed her and got me in between her and the window because it seemed like the window would break from the force. And then… nothing. No more rain, no more wind, the sun was shining… freaky.
This afternoon after nap, Ashley and I went grocery shopping. Usually we wait until Jake can come too but tomorrow is busy enough so we got this done and out of the way. Ashley loves riding around in the trolley, and there were lots of kids at the store (or as Ash would say “bees”. She has gotten lazy with some of her words. Jake is now Da and I’m Mee) so it was fun. We also went to Kmart because I had a $10 off $10 coupon (aka free stuff!) that expires tomorrow. I got nail polish. I grabbed 5 but they were marked at higher prices than they rang up as so I had to go back and get more. Ended up with 7 bottles for 70 cents. I thought last time when I got 4 or 5 I did well. I love those coupons because they are for health/beauty products only so really, it is like a free pass to buy myself something.
We had our weekly Sky Ping session with my parents this evening. Mum’s computer thinks skyping should be Sky Ping so Mum decided our talks are now Pings. Or something like that. My mum is silly. ANYWAY. Ashley can’t (or won’t) say grandma, but she says Pa for her grandpas. So she gets really excited when it is Sky Ping time and says “Pa! Pa! Pa!” and it is so cute. Then she shows off her new words, and then she’ll either run away or want to breastfeed on camera. But that wasn’t the point of this paragraph. My point was going to be… after we were done and I closed that window, music started to play. Because we had been listening to music many hours before, but stopped it… and sky ping made it play? It was confusing, and weird, and kinda cool because we then listened to some MJ which we probably wouldn’t have at that moment if it didn’t start by itself.
I think the storm blew up crazy amounts of dust, I can barely breathe. And every time I cough, I also fart, which makes me laugh, and that is a hard group of actions to do at once when you can’t get enough oxygen!
My nephew couldn’t say grandma so used to call my mum ‘ma ma’ – it’s cute when they can’t quite get their words!

I lol’d at the part about Ash getting lazy with her words. Cute!! How bizarre about that rain as well! Glad it didn’t cause any damage!

What terrible rain!! You made me laugh with your last paragraph. Do you still have an inhaler? Rain bursts starch granules in pollen so after warm weather and sudden rain there are many more allergens in the air to make breathing difficult. *giant hugs* from not-Pa.

I’m the same way with $10 off coupons, or whatever price; I beeline for whatever’s that EXACT price, because then YAY FREE!
