Surfing a puppy

I have semi-hiccups, and they taste like sushi. So either that is the fault of the entry I just read which mentioned sushi, or the wrap I had for dinner had something in it that is making me hiccup sushi. Before I was burping bacon. It was a very good turkey blt, except it was rather lacking in the cranberry mayo. It was kind of like a thanksgiving before thanksgiving because we are not doing thanksigving tomorrow as we did thanksgiving about 2 weeks ago.

Oh yes, thanksgiving 4 times in one sentance. I think the impressive thing is I didn’t once make a mistake while typing it. It is a good word like that. THanksiging. Bammit.

This morning I woke up overwhelmed by all the things I wanted to get done today, and now I just feel awesome because I pretty much got them all done. We laundered (and now have piles of clean clothes on our floor waiting to be suitcased tomorrow), I mailed off the all important green card renewal things and now I can’t worry about it because it is out of my hands. I was going to clean also, and I did a bit. Dusted the outside of the toilet (man this place makes a lot of dust!) and scrubbed stupid bits of food off the kitchen floor. I need a real mop, no more of this crappy swiffer crap thing. It does nothing.

I love listening to music, it is just awesome in the mood department. Not that my mood is bad this evening, but extra mmm thanks to tunes and words. As always, my mp3 player has every song on it on random, and it has picked 4 christmas songs tonight. I never hear christmas songs. It knows it is approaching. I’m glad I don’t have crappy christmas songs on this thing, just ones I like by artists I like. I wish the Jackson 5 christmas songs were good.

We’ve got the next two days planned out well. Tomorrow we pack, hide all the things I don’t want his dad and ‘stepmom’ to use, move his guitars and other things from the back room into parts of the apartment that can actually be locked up… and eat all the food that will go off. Woo. Our fridge is so empty looking, it is sad. There is… 1/4 gallon of milk, a bottle of cranberry juice, a bit of leftover indian, a single tortilla, some sage and 2 lemons. Very exciting. I don’t know why the sage is still there, that is OLD.

And then Friday, Jake gets shaved, we tell his bank we are going to Oz so his card can get used, then eat downstairs as there will be no food up here, and then we wait until about quarter past midday when the beginnings of our travel adventures start. Thanks to Barb, who is lovely and has offered to drive us to the hotel where the airport shuttle will pick us up. Gotta keep repeating this so I don’t forget. I like plans. They make me feel less, insane brained.

I do believe my title was something Jake heard someone on tv say. Might have been while watching football. All I know is that it wasn’t what they said. Obviously.

That’s awesome of Barb to drive you to the hotel. One less thing to have to worry about! I’m sorry I made you sushi burp. Except I’m not. Intercontinental burp hypnosis! (That’d be an awesome band name, albeit a little long.) Guh cleaning. I still have more to do. I wake up each morning feelng crap because there’s so much but then I do a little bit and I’m like “YEAH BABEH!” Only, not “babeh” because I don’t actually say that. But still. Mmmm polished floorboards.
