Squirmy little cutie

Cute baby moment of yesterday:

We ate at the restaurant downstairs. Ashley was such a good girl and happily sat (and eventually fell asleep) in the corner of the super-booth. Everybody thought she was so adorable and/or a doll. She was rather doll-looking.

Not-so-cute moment of yesterday:

Vomit attack while on the changing table! I managed to back off quick enough to not get hit by the super-spray, but the clothes on the floor weren’t so lucky. The changing pad cover was soaked, Ashley was soaked (and bawling, I think the bits that got in her eyes hurt a fair bit, and her throat was probably burning from the bile), the changing table was soaked, the floor was soaked… I got out clean. Even after I snuggled a cheesy baby while making her bath. It was pretty miraculous.

Last night was amazing. Ashley went to sleep at 10:30 (well, actually at about 9, but we didn’t put her to bed until 10:15, and she woke up and ate for 3 minutes and went back to sleep), woke up at 3, went back to bed at 3:30 after 2 diaper changes and a good meal, and woke up at 7. I feel SO RESTED! It’s amazing what sleep can do. I feel pretty good most days, but that much sleep is just amazing.

This morning has been fun. We went grocery shopping! Matty pushed the stroller around while I got the things we needed and Dad looked at candy and chips and playing cards and other such things. Matty is such a loving uncle, he’ll happily change Ashley if I can guarantee there is no poop in the diaper (he thinks it is amazing that I know… even though he sees me put my face to her butt and sniff), he always takes the carseat away from me when we are going somewhere, and he took such care when he was pushing her around te store. He was also really good at opening up the stroller, I just had to tell him what to do rather than show him. He’s going to make a great Dad one day, I can tell.

Ok, time for breakfast/lunch/eats with Jake and these guys. Fingers crossed Ashley doesn’t want to eat at the same time!
