Space! Planets! Monkeys!

Today was rather craptastic. I woke up in a bad mood, which is never a good way to start the day. I’ve finally been sent all the documents that I was going to use for the green card help… but of course, the phone bill and the cable/internet bill… I’m not on either of them. Nothing on the website says that I am on either of them. So… that’s 2 more things we are lacking. So all I have to send in now is one bank statement with both our names on it (and a bunch of back statements that apparently show we have been using that account… except we are a mostly cash family so it doesn’t really) and a lease agreement thing showing we live in the same place. Thankfully that is backdated. But that’s not much. I’m pretty convinced I don’t have much longer in this country. I wonder how much time they will give me to vacate the country’s premises? Would be nice if it is until the extension on my current green card expires, because then at least I would still get to do thanksgiving this year, which is something I’m looking forward to.

Enough of that negative carp.

I went to the post office today, in the rain. And there was no package from mum yet. Bugger. Yesterday there was a package, and I had a YAY moment. It was still an awesome package, but it wasn’t the collection of Australian awesome that I was expecting. Was a cookie scoop (woo! even cookies!) and a Jacksons Live CD. Which is awesome. We listened to that last night, it’s very enjoyable and good and I like it a lot. Last time I saw it in a store I didn’t have any of the Jacksons cds yet so I didn’t know any of the songs. Now I know them all and love them all so it was way more enjoyable that it could have been if I bought it years ago.

We had stuffed tomatoes for dinner tonight. It was sooo goood. I didn’t want food at all while making it, but I know I have to eat so I did. And then all the food had vanished! I love that even when I don’t feel like I have an appetite I can get a good amount of food in me.

Jake is watching something about ways the human race could die out. It’s trying to sound like a regular news program so every so often I catch a few words and get confused and have to find out what he’s watching. It’s rather distracting. Seems interesting though.

"…as the atmosphere is sucked off" Oh…. gotta love picking up only a few words at a time. I think they are talking about a black hole approaching the earth now.

I bought some cheap-ass bandaids yesterday and I’m pretty sure I’m allergic to the glue on them. Or maybe they are borderline superglue so when they were removed they just super-reddened my skin. The thing that makes me think it is more allergic than that is it took a few hours to show up after they were removed…. about 7 hours actually. So really, either is improbable. Very confusing.

Sponsor me for the blogathon! Just click this awesome little banner and it will take you to the sponsor page! (unfortunately, the website is designed that you have to sign up to be able to sponsor. If you are really really against that… you could always just get me to put in a pledge on behalf of you?) I’m (trying to) raising money for the Make a Wish foundation.

What I do need is some questions you would like me to answer. Last time I got a few little story ideas from Ellen and those were a failure. I’m not good at creating things when struggling to stay awake and type, but I’m very good at being honest and writing things I don’t have to create! So come on, give me some questions! Please? ðŸ™‚

I hope you don’t have to come home, as much as i would love having you live close-by. I thought you got both names on the internet and other stuff bills. I am not signing up – will ask your dad about that. Would sponsor you though. I want your package to arrive. I am starting to worry.
