Sleeping baby with no head

I think the fridge is working again. It seems to be working great. Things in the fridge part are COLD, the ice cubes are actually ice… that is a bunch of good things. It’s probably becauce I was looking forward to going out to dinner repeatedly, and now we don’t have to. Probably for the best really. But YAY functioning refridgeration!

Jake’s necklace broke today, so now he doesn’t have anything to keep his wedding ring on. He’s lost quite a bit of weight since we got married, especially in his hands, so the ring slides off. We just have annoying hands, my rings are a little too big as well, so I have to take them off if I am going to get wet hands because otherwise they will fall off and go down the sink or something. But I can’t get the next size down because my knuckles are too big for that. At least I still have my original wedding band… unlike some people.

Tonight Jake and I went out to dinner, to a delicious mexican place called Senor Pancho’s. I can’t do the fancy n, but there is one! I was weirded out at first, because the menu looked old and cheap, it was trying to look like a newsletter type thing. But then I saw the date on it, 1989. So I guess it was some sort of 20th anniversary "hey this is what our menus used to look like!" kind of thing. At least, that’s my guess.

We had delicious WARM tortilla chips and yummy salsa, and pretty quickly our food came out. I love chicken fajitas. I don’t like the fact that they bring out 5 different plates for me, and they always ALWAYS place the sizzling hot plate right where my elbow would rest if I was to put my arms up on the table. Which is stupid, because it is the first thing they put down and I always make sure there is space in the middle of the table, as far away from people as possible. Very odd. Very delicious though. Mmm. Jake had… something. chicken really wrapped up tight like it was a baby and needed to sleep… but had no head.

For dessert we shared a plate of sopapillas (or however you spell that) and it was AMAZINGLY GOOD! Normally they seem to be just tortilla chips from a bag sprinkled with cinnamon sugar (and drizzled with chocolate sauce and honey) but tonight they were… soft. Kind of like very thin donuts… so deliciously awesome. I was very amused because each bite Jake took, his face made the same look that I felt mine was making. Mmm… yummy. Good food, and good service (except for silly placement). I love that place, it’s pretty delicious. Plus, they have a stack of awesome hats.

Once home, we watched a movie we had gotten from Netflix, and just been relaxing. Very lovely. Jake, go add more movies to the netflix queue, ok? It’s all horror at the moment so I need you to pick some things so I don’t feel so bad subjecting you to so much gore. Ok? Good. (I have told him this in person too… but he’ll read this when I’m still in bed tomorrow, and then he will have something to do before going to work! Aren’t I brilliant!)

Peapod is coming tomorrow. I would’ve just grocery shopped tonight but we need the plastic bags and peapod always ends up with so little in each bag and so many things double bagged and that would be great because we use them as trash bags and at the moment we have NONE so there is no place for trash to go! It’s annoying. Although at least it is again good timing, because we have had barely any trash the last few days, most of our trash is bits and stuff from making dinners.

I think I’ve worked out why my back hurts. It’s not because I sit weird or because I like to put my legs up on the desk, it’s because I sit weird and have ONE leg up on the desk or something, and that slightly twists things. Makes sense, and makes me feel better today. Which is yay.

Hope you are all doing well.

I clicked the link and saw you in the silly hat, and I LOLed for real. Hehe. What the heck is peapod?~jo

LOL @ silliness. Grats on the fridge and grats on weight loss…even though you have to find a way to keep the rings on! :3 *

you should go to a jeweler and see how much it would cost to get them re-sized. I’m sure that they will work out a ‘size and a half” or somthing to fit your fingys

Yay for working fridge! Peapod? Nice hat. There are these things you can stick on the back of rings to make em fit your finger. Have you guys tried that? I have to get one of those because my fingers are small.

I love the picture! We have pictures like that from our honeymoon in Cancun… we were having dinner on the beach and there were mariachis who plopped giant sombreros on everyone’s heads. Too funny.
