Siren car bye

Oops, long gap! And as soon as I wrote those 3 words a crying baby needed me. I seem to be doing better this time…

It is hot. Too hot, I think. I don’t like heat. Right now it is apparently cooler outside but only by half a degree. 82F/28C at 10pm is wrong. The last couple of nights when Ashley has stirred and woken me up, I’ve struggled to go back to sleep because it is so icky hot/humid. I’m fine when I am asleep but trying to get back into that state is tough.

I’ve given up keeping a record of all of Ashley’s words. I wasn’t going to stop, but then it had been 2 days and I had missed almost 10 words and so meh, lazy. She knows more than a hundred, that’s all I know.

Last Wednesday, Lisa came to hang out for the day. All day. She got here at about 9 and left after 7. It was lovely. Kristen and Stacy came over for a while in the afternoon, and Nick came over and we all had dinner together. It was a lovely spontaneous little family day.

I have absolutely no clue how to look for a car. I’ve never done it before. All I want is a 4 door sedan that… works properly. Do I want another cheap, oldish car or a newer, slightly more expensive one that will hopefully not need to be replaced in less than 5 years? Or do I want to lease a car? Argh. I’m tempted to just get a newer model Chevy Malibu purely because that’s what I have now (a 98…) but… blah. Last time I had to ‘look’ for a car, Gale (Jake’s Dad) found one for me. It had 4 doors so I bought it.

I’m really thirsty for something other than water, but I’ve already brushed my teeth. Bah.

My toenails are still a pretty rainbow that makes me smile to look at them.

Videos? Sure.

One day I was trying to get Ash to say ‘beaver’ (we were naming her toys) and it kept coming out sounding like ‘bullshit’. So I asked ‘can you say bullshit?’ and ever since then… when you ask her to say beaver, she says bullshit. Oops. It is hilarious though…

I was trying to get her slurping her spaghetti, but she kept biting it or folding it into her mouth when the camera was on her. She’s still entertaining.

Today’s facebook status:
"Mummy, siren" yes that was a siren, "car" yes the siren was on a car, "bye" yes, the car with the siren went bye very fast, "ambiss" yes, the car with the siren is called an ambulance, "siren" …
We have been having this looping conversation for 15 minutes.

All the videos are from the high chair, but that is because otherwise she just runs at me, wanting to see the baby on the camera.

All I can say about American cars is that I drove a Chevy Sonic when I was over there and I wanted to punch it in the face for reasons that I don’t entirely understand. I felt it was being obnoxious, in so far as an object/machine can be obnoxious. Also, a Toyota Corolla is never a bad bet, in my opinion. Also also, swearing babies are amusing 😀

Cute girl. Such a frustratingly slow way to eat spaghetti though.

go to autotrader.com and/or cars.com. select what you want. 🙂 If you have a Carmax near you (I believe the closest one to me in in CT, but idk where exactly in the state you live) I hear that’s a good place to go.
