I feel like I mention this often, but photobucket is a bit of a butthole. I’m loyal to the site, having had an account there longer than I’ve had this diary (and this diary is almost 9 years old) but it is quite a bitch lately. It uploads about 5% of my photos corruptly, so I have to delete and retry so they appear as they should. The uploading freezes quite often, sometimes it takes 6 tries to get through a few days worth of photos (and that doesn’t include the corrupt ones). I’m only bitching about this now because I have a whole bunch of photos from tonight and I want to share them! But they are taking forever!! I also have a load of videos but there is no way they will be up tonight. Maybe tomorrow if I remember in the morning.

I have to watch the patterns this week. It seems Ashley is trying to drop her morning nap. She didn’t take it today, didn’t seem excessively tired at any point, so maybe it is just that time. I wouldn’t mind, she naps next to me, won’t let me escape, so her dropping a nap actually gives me MORE time. Which would be nice. I could be wrong, she could just be not wanting 2 naps when there are people home. She was much more interested in playing with Daddy this weekend.

Kerry came to visit this morning. Ashley and Kerry love each other so much. It is so lovely. They both needed a bit of hangout time, so it was wonderful that Kerry was here for 2 hours. Ashley showed off her toys and her tricks (it has been so long since Kerry was here that she was impressed Ashley could do more than sit up unassisted!) while I went through Ash’s clothes for our holiday down south. I feel like she has a lot of clothes, but babies can be messy. Each outfit should get worn at least once, and that is the main thing. I really can’t decide if I should take less of her clothes or not. By the time they are seasonally appropriate here, she will most likely have outgrown them, so it would be good to have them be used. I don’t know why I’m trying to convince myself.

This evening was spent with Nick (Jake’s brother) and Stacy (his wife). They brought pizza for dinner (and left the leftovers here! Yay!) as well as christmas presents for Ashley. With the Wizard of Oz and Shrek the Third on in the background, Ashley got to experience the fun of presents!

(I shouldn’t have mentioned Ashley’s nighttime sleep yesterday. She woke every hour on the hour for the entire night, and it seems like she is repeating that tonight… ugh)

Ashley sat at the dinner table between Jake and Nick, which seemed to help her get over the almost-fear she had of Nick when we did thanksgiving 2 weeks ago. (Ash had a big dinner – baby food, milk and cheerios! I was impressed) Then she sat on the couch between Nick and Stacy and got lots of cool presents – clothes, toys, a cute owl bath scrub thing… the things Ashley liked the best were her card and the ribbons on each gift.

I am so tired. Hopefully I get to sleep properly tonight. I hate that tomorrow is a workday for Jake so I don’t get to sleep in a bit. Sleep in means… until 8:30, if I am lucky. Weekdays…. 7:50? Blah.

I don’t think we have anything planned for next week. Other than Sunday, anyway. Oh, yeah, packing. Woo.

*waves* I think the only reason to take less clothes for Ashley would be if you genuinely don’t have room for them. Otherwise, you might as well have options 🙂 NoNoMo update: I spent my afternoon taking some photos and reading in a park. It was pleasantly relaxing *nods*

I’d bring as many clothes for Ashley as I could. We can give you another suitcase for going home. She’ll probably need many changes on the plane too.

Rhea actually ripped open her gifts last Xmas, but I have a feeling she will be much more enthusiastic about it this year. Oh the cuteness. Ashley is so adorable. ~jo
