Puppy headrest

I built a big cube the other day. Put Ash inside and told her to destroy it. She had a great time.

So…

Wednesday was Lisa’s birthday, so she came over to spend the day with Ashley. She had breakfast downstairs with her friend Michelle first, so we snuck in the back to surprise her. The restaurant was pretty empty so when Ashley said hi, she was heard. It was so cute. Then Ash and I played with the beach scene in the window. There was a rake and Ash was fascinated with it. She took it outside to "sweeps" the grass and trees once we were done making a mess with the sand inside.

The day was just one of relaxation. In the afternoon, Kristen and Matt came over (Ashley actually gave Matt a hug! Progress!) and then a bit later Nick and Stacy came over (I think she high-fived Nick. Still, it is physical contact so that is good). We had pizza for dinner and it was just nice to hang out with family.

The last few days have been SO LOVELY, weather wise. Today was the warmest but it was just nice-warm not death-hot.

This morning we went to the laundromat, which is always fun. Ashley likes it, so that’s something. There are lots of claw machines and arcade games along one wall and she likes to press the buttons and move the joysticks and things. She brought me 11 cents today, so score. Jake follows her around while I deal with the clothes. We had a pile of extra clothes today. Before the laundromat we met up with a woman near the mall. I am a member of some tag sale groups on facebook and she was selling a lot of 3T girl clothes for ridiculously cheap so I snatched them up. Lots of pants, skirts, shorts, dresses, shirts, hoodies… so much, for $35. Total freakin bargain. It’ll be a while before she needs them but we pretty much have her set when she does get to that size. And it is all SO CUTE!

We didn’t need to grocery shop today (we did that on Thursday afternoon because Jake got out of work so ridiculously early, which was awesome because the place was empty and the produce was being restocked so everything was delightfully fresh, we’ll have to keep going then if I can keep myself prepared!) so we got to come home and relax after laundering. We haven’t done much for the rest of the day. After nap we went outside so Ash could play in her pool because it was just the perfect weather for that. I really need to put my bathers on as well one day so I can sit in there with her. If Jake could sit cross-legged, the 3 of us could fit. Decent sized kiddie pool.

Don’t know if we are going to do anything tomorrow. I would like to, but I like to get things done early and I also like to sleep in, so I will have to see which one wins.
