This weekend has been lovely. We got a headstart on Saturday, so we were about an hour ahead of our normal time for going to the laundromat and Costco. We are normally in a big crowd of people at both places, but not this time. So that was goodness. I’ll have to stop being so slack and go nice and early all the time.

We had absolutely delicious wraps for lunch after our errands, and we sat outside to enjoy the very lovely sunshine. It made the afternoon feel like a completely new and fresh day, which was really odd when we realised at 9pm that it was in fact still Saturday. Made it seem like a 3 day weekend, so that can’t be a bad thing.

Today, we haven’t really done much. We washed what felt like a truckload of dishes. Pretty much all of them were the more airtight food storage containers that we got at costco so I can feel my food is safe from the ants. Stupid ants, I hate them so much. I’m not sure where the rest of the day went.

So… last weekend, Jake got camera-happy while we were out for a drive. We live in a rather pretty place. I’m not going to post 30 pictures (or however many it was) so here, have a slideshow.

I miss CT alot sometimes… I forget how beautiful it is there.

It looks a lot like a hybrid between Eltham and Castlemaine. 😀

I love Connecticut…not that I have ever been there. My sister-in-law was born in Connecticut and my MIL says it’s one of the prettiest places she’s been to.

Wow. So beautiful! I love that the traffic lights hang from wires!!! I should like to go there one day.

I will have to wait for faster internet. Looking forward to seeing the photos. Currently I am getting a new one every few minutes, so the first photo was up for a while, and then a second one appeared so the slide show was two photos alternating, and then a third appeared. Tis quite annoying. Silly slow internet.

I hate ants too, they get everywhere in my house. Everything has to be air tight or else they’ll get into it, ugh. Nice photos 🙂

I like the way your slideshow is done, very simple and better than slide.com! What did you use to make it?

mmm slideshow. such pretty pictures!! you and Jake DO live in such a beautiful place! I only see 2 pictures though, the same 2 loop over and over. Eek. ;.; I want to see the rest! Sitting outside in nice sunshine does make a day feel longer and more peaceful. You kinda just stop thinking and start enjoying and it is sooo lovely. ryn: Nah, I won’t burglarify you. I’ll just be a sponge.

*realizes she called herself a sponge* NOBODY CALLS ME A SPONGE. D: I SHOULD GET MY DRIVERS LICENSE SO I CAN STAPLE IT TO MY OWN NOT-BIG, NOT-BALD HEAD. D: on the slideshow: Nevermind!! I see…er, 4 photos now! The rest will come with loading time, I’m sure. But in advance I say “OMGPRETTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!” about 30+ times. 😀

thank you, you’re a sweet pea, and I appreciate the crossed fingers, and the patient listening you AND Jake do at my crazy ass diary. xo
