Today’s challenge was a day-in-the-life, and I would’ve participated, but I knew it would be incredibly boring. What have I done today… took forever to wake up, sat around reading faves, did the dishes, had lunch, hung out with Jake for 15 minutes, sat around. Jake came home, we had dinner, then dessert, and now I’m here. But I’ll do one at some point. Instead, for today, I thought I could do… RANDOM FACTS DAY! … but I only came up with 2 ‘facts’, even though I was thinking all day. I’m just boring, I guess. Or unfactual.
Our kitchen counter is so low I like to stand there and rest my belly on it.
I will always find it hilarious that the non-american in the family is the one that hosts thanksgiving dinner.
Baby-A has been bouncing around all day. She seemed to enjoy the chinese food yesterday, and again today for dinner. Mmm, good stuff that was still good the next day. We ate it all, except for some plain white rice which I’m going to turn into creme rice because MAN I want that stuff. It makes a fantastic breakfast.
After eating dinner I got this overwhelming craving for chocolate cake. It happened every time I ate that food over the last 2 days. I think it is because of the crappy chinese buffet we sometimes go to with Jake’s Dad. I always finish my meal with a big plate of pudding (yes, plate. Nuts to a bowl!) This evening we went to the store-next-door in search of something either chocolate or cheese cakey. Found both, but the cheesecake looked gross. So Jake and I shared a square of "mississippi mud cake" and it was MMM so good. Perfect little dessert.
The best part about going to the store was I noticed people were still downstairs (or were again downstairs, I swear I looked at 5 and Barb’s car was gone, but at 6:30 it was there?) so we went in to make sure they would turn the light out, the one that shines on the sign out front, and also shines in my bedroom window right into my eyes as I try to sleep. Barb instantly got up to turn it off and so I thanked her and said how it keeps me up when it is left on. I hope that sticks with her. I hate that light so hard.
